The worst part of hacking the matrix, the spike that gets stuck in you head. Talk about a headache. OP: A time of when this happened would be great. There was a hacker on a few days ago i don't remember exactly when but he was teleporting around in a UAZ telling people to get in. When there is a hacker on the server depending on what s/he is doing we will do an "Emergency restart" to try and limit any damage done to other players. Also this seems to help deter them from coming back. When we do any other restarts there is always at least 10 usually 15 minutes warning time via global messages.

I started from scratch and it worked. Not sure why, i didn't do anything different

I wanted to get a server close to me and my friends in kansas and the current kansas servers are either not updating or the admins restart the server to "reacquire" stuff that we take from their tents(best guess here all i know is we find good stuff in tents take it and put it in our truck and then a little later a server reboot and the stuff we take is magically back in their tents). Long statement short we use datashack in kansas city, mo. so far they've been great

My server got approved and i'm trying to get it setup and working but when anyone connects to it they see the incorrect server version message. I have tried using six updater to grab the files and tried to grab the files manually including hive. Currently I am re-downloading arma from steam to start over from scratch. So this is a call to any other admins with ideas to check/try... we do have mumble server running if you wish to connect and talk to us. mumble: dazoe.net

It was due to ram, after I resubmitted with 8GB it was approved. Nothing else changed!

They will probably have to update the IP address manually. I'd open a support ticket with the information.

Minimum requirements for ram is now 8GB so that VPS option technically shouldn't be approved. Just a warning...

So I rented a dedicated server, with the specs(4GB ram) that I thought was better than the required specs(2GB). Submit the server request, wait a few days, get denied because the specs changed to 8GB ram! So if I have my server upgraded to 8GB, which will cost me more money, will the required specs change to 16GB? Also I have to assume it got rejected due to ram size because there was no specific reason stated only "does not meet required specs" http://dayzmod.com/f...r-read-in-here/ I'm sure this part said 4GB when I submitted the request. and it also says "RAM isn't a big issue in an ArmA server" http://support.dayzm...layarticle&id=1 Update: My server has been upgraded from 4 to 8GB ram, took less than 20 minutes. New server request submitted and back to waiting.

Totally agree, I wish they would let us know something. As for paying for "express" I'd pay. I hate having a server that I pay for just sitting there doing nothing.

Hello, I'd like to host a server, so I read some of the posts and looked around and it seems like this system is not a great one. Because the sign up requires an IP you have to actually get the server first. Then you have to fill out the sign up. Then you have NO idea how long it will take or if you will even be accepted. I spent $$ to rent a dedicated server, filled out the sign up, and now I wait. The server I rented is definitely enough to run a server. I just think I shouldn't have to pay for a server that is just sitting there doing nothing. The whole reason I want to host a server is because of admin abuse. I'm sick and tired of servers that restart to keep the time daytime/nighttime, or admins that abuse their power and kick/ban people for bad reasons. I was playing on a server and came across 3 tents, raided them, emptied them completely, ran them over with their truck they had parked there, a few hours later the server restarted and suddenly i have nothing and it was all back in the tents. I believe there was admin abuse involved because i had the stuff for HOURS. I didn't report it because I didn't have solid proof. Now I record 100% of the time I play.
