That happens in many other multiplayer games. Question of balls. I'm gamer from Q1 (mutli) and I meet legions of babies screaming on others cheater just because they dont know what happens. But, in dayz, when you are killed with M107++ or headshoted, and only what you can see is suddend death screen, thats discouraging, I know :D -
After death, like a zeds, you will got tunnel vision too. Thats normal bro

because here many versions on servers and many dayz maps/versions. It can be confused. On the left panel of dayzcommander check all boxes: hide locked hide unofficial hide wrong mod version and better select day only. Then refresh servers -

I'm sure will be fine. But at beggining can be problem with servers even in dayzcommander. Many servers with bad descriptions, private hives etc. And after connecting check lag. If your game is lagged and you PC is ok, find another server. -

TO play on steam you must update it manually. DayZ on steam is fresh, so not all working good. Use dayzcommander or six commander instead, and you still can run this game via steam. -
I did video to show how friendly are zeds on fields in this version, and it's true, but not all was smorh :D

Is not bad idea to try ARMA FREE. Many people don't like arma style, so you will see. But you must give some time to arma, because this game is different than most of. I have friends from L4D2 and other zombie games, and not all likes dayz, so... -
My signature? Let me check... Only cure is dying? Yep, thats right. I'm killing everybody in my sight north of 040 line. Why? Because I'm faster - moslty. Giving them chance? For what? Killing me? And I'm not killing heroes how long they are not in bandits team. So, stay on the coast, you will be safer. Inland is for big boys. And girls.

Welll.. I see all new players are against bandits. I can understand. And only what I can say, you will play long enough you will not ask more. In this game is nothing to do if you are playing long. You can stop playing or start fight with others only. Here many other reasons to be bandit, but who care? What is to do, if you have all you can get? Killing zeds? Why? They are just poor, infected villagers. I killed over 800 in 2h in Zelenogorsk and what? Funny? Not so much. PvP is a key to this game. Without bandits dayz will be boooring, like a many other single player games. We are creating fun for you in dayz,

Killing squad in heli with AS50 was nice http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=101461810 but my best was I think three kills with on grenade. It was bandits squad on NAField. They killed my mate but it shows their position and I killed them all. One was wounded, but G17 moved him to dead screen but most funny was my rush on Takistan map. I was maybe 300 of blood, and here was no blood bags and steaks, no hope for heal. We had sniper in barracks, I dropped my all stuff and weapon to my mate and rushed this snipe maybe 500m and killed with G17 inside barrack room, then I died by one zombie hit ;P

Bandit in dayz is just player killing enough players to be bandit, thats all and no philosophy is needed. Rest is just you, your gameplay style and overall behaviors. When you crossed this line, I understand, you can kill some on coast with AS50 or other nerfed weapon, but I hope, it will be not your only way, just for your fun.

Im bandit, but only north of Zelenogorsk line. Killing players on coast is low imo.

As you can see, even forum software is hard to do for macs, so I'm affraid, will be problem with dayz for macs... I thought a little about it, and finally should be no problem to change all weapons textures to white.
