It wasn't a trap. Here is a little back story. Earlier in the day the boys and I were footing it around looking for crash sites. Found one and while we were looking for loot, we hear a shot, we all sprint away from the gun fire and flank the area we think it came from. Upon returning to the sound of the shot, I find a tent... at the same time some wild man runs through some trees, sees me and sprints back into the bushes. I continue further into the vegetation and find a trove of tents. Wild man appears again and I fire a few bursts from an M16 into him, he keeps running. He nears the next person on our FoF and they light him up. Wild man DC's. We abandoned the tents fearing he was just a camp guard and decide to come back later. An hour or so goes by. We meet up and head back to the tents, this time, on our approach I hear another shot zip past our point man. I crouch, turn 90 degrees and see two individuals running back and forth through the trees. I fire, Wild man drops dead. His buddy takes off running away from the tents. We sweep the area and find no other survivors. As I am scoping the body and scanning the trees in my LoS, I hear DMR fire directly next to me, and turn just in time to see this day light ninja drawing down on me. He kills me :(. Unfortunatly for him, my LMG carrying buddy had a clear field of view on me and when my assailant went to loot my body, was introduced to a box of lead. So of the three individuals associated with this spot, two were killed. My group moves away towards Berezino(shown at the beginning of the video). I meet them along the way, get some supplies and head back to HQ. Everyone logs. I decide to head back to the tents for some excitement. Found the tents have been restocked(wtf?) with SVD ammo and some other odds and ends. Then I see a flash light sweep to my left. I move into some trees and thats when I spot the bush wookie and bus driver messing with the bus. Neither of these players were involved in the fire fight earlier in the day, HOWEVER, they were operating in a zone I considered hot, being less than 50 meters from a massive tent site. I did not fire on the bus not wanting to give away my position anymore than I already did with the first shot, just incase there was another person lurking about on foot.

Have played on US 132 all day, then started getting a script restriction #55 with a disconnect. Everyone on the server was kicked. Then just now after the patch to 95248, I was teleported to a field and someone over direct chat told me to go prone or they would have there clones kill me. I responded with some inappropriate dialog and was shot. On 7/24/12 between 16:00 and 21:30 PM

I have a .50 cal, but no ammo to use it :(. I dont want to camp Cherno with it. I want to find the snipers that are camping Cherno and protect the nooblets.

WHO RUNS BARTER TOWN???

I just felt like running. It was early in the morning as the sun began to light up the landscape around me. I was in the vicinity of Prigorodky, near the coast, headed to Cherno. It wasn't a death wish I had, just looking for other survivors. As I closed in to the suburbs around Cherno, I heard the faint sound of a double barrel directly in front of me. Making sure my M4 was ready to rock and roll, I continued forward. About 100 meters ahead, a survivor sprints across the road with three feeders en tow. It looked to me as if he was in trouble, so I moved closer and shouted "Friendly, opening fire" while I put down the infected. It took him a minute to realize what happened, but once he got a visual on me, he immediately sprinted over. He said something that I could not quite make out. After a few more attempts at communication I figured I would continue on, glancing over my shoulder as I trotted away. It looked like my new found acquaintance wanted to follow me. Figuring if he was going to shoot me he would have done it when I first had my back to him, I shrugged it off and made my way closer to Cherno. It was at the sight of the first smoke stack that he yelled out he heard a shot. I turn around and ask him from where and he went silent again, just continued to move around and wave his gun around wildly. As I turned, something in the distance caught my eye. I focused for a second and realized it was a UAZ. SWEET! I didn't bother telling my companion, he seemed to have the same idea, as we sprinted to the find. I reached the UAZ first, it was still running. No one around. I hopped in the driver seat, all green but the fuel gauge was flashing. Without looking to see if my follower had jumped in, I turned the vehicle around and took off towards a near by gas station, hoping to find a Jerry can. It was during this short drive that I realized I had a passenger. He started hooting and hollering, possibly saying something in another language. I felt his excitement. As I pull into the gas station, I shut off the engine, hoping to find a can near by. Just as I entered the first building I look to my left and there it was, full... PERFECT! I heard the footsteps behind me and saw my newly found follower standing in the doorway behind me. And just as clear as day he says, "Hey, did we just steal that car?", and just as he finished talking, he put a slug directly in my back. I was in shock, not just in the game, but my heat was beating through my chest. I was completely caught off guard. Now staring at my health drain out of my body, I was waiting for him to finish me off. I was knocked out, watching him stand over me, probably going through my gear. With my vision blurred, I witness a zombie walk through the doorway. I was hopping that my attacker would loose focus on me to deal with the zombie, hoping to be revived and unload on him. But what happened next made me want to punch a baby. He picked me up and dragged me between the zombie and himself and stood back as the zombie began to devour me. It was on now! I was nearing death, yet almost to the point of regaining consciousness. With only 400 blood left I came too, zombie chewing on my back and I pull my G17 and open fire on the zombie and my assailant. The zombie drops, and he runs outside. I hit him, was the last thing I thought before I died. Now after all of that, I wanted to take a break, but my heart was still pounding so I begin anew. Trying to forget what just happened only lasted a few seconds, spawn point: Prigorodky. About 200 meters from my body. I break into a full sprint, no weapon, no plan, hoping to either find him messing with the vehicle so I could grab a weapon and get some payback. As I approached the building that the UAZ is parked next to, I see him standing over my corpse still trying to figure out how to loot my body. How did I let him kill me??? Fuck it, I run by the building, jump in the UAZ and yell a couple obscenities as I drive off. I hear the sound of gunfire behind me as I head east along the coast. My victory is short lived as I realize I will run out of gas before I hit the next refill station. SHIT!!! He probably knows this as well. Pushing it as fast as it can go, I try to put as much distance between us as I can. Just past PiK Koslova it dies, I gimp it to the side of the road and jump out, sprinting towards Electro. I see the first set of buildings... A GAS STATION! With zombies a few zombies on my tail I run into the first building, and guess what I find? A full Jerry can. Now with five hungry zombies at my heels, I make my way back to the UAZ. 600 Meters from it, I realize I am bleeding. FUCK!!! By the time I get a visual on the UAZ I am at 9k blood. Hoping that he isn't there yet, I try and loose the zombies with no success. I reach the UAZ with 7.4k blood and begin filling with zombies chomping at my head waiting to be knocked out. Then the sound of gun fire from the M4 I use to call my own. SOB!! 20 liters in the vehicle I hop in with 4k blood left. I punch it, bullets striking the UAZ and the zombies around it as the vehicle builds speed. Once I feel I am at a safe distance I stop, bandage and head into Electro. Feeling safety on the road I wind my way through the seemingly deserted town. I would like to say this will be the last time I get shot in the back, but I doubt it. I have yet to lose my faith in humanity... and that is what will get me killed. TL;DR Found a survivor, found a UAZ, survivor shot me in the back, I re-spawned stole the UAZ, made a narrow escape twice.

This I am not sure of. I was in first person when I got shot, so I figured it must have been to the back... otherwise a head shot would have probably killed me. I think the initial hit took me down to 4k blood or so, which is when I was knocked out.

As for the Karma, it was more directed at me. Stealing the UAZ(though leaving a vehicle running unattended near Cherno isn't the brightest thing to do) was probably a bad idea. Also, the whole time this was going on, I was talking with a friend through steam and he kept urging me to kill the guy. Being the softy that I am, I didn't heed his warnings.

I would say the basic FAL. I found one at a crash site, did a back flip IRL. Used up the two mags... became sad. Sadness turned into depression... which lead to alcoholism... which lead to me running over my tent with a bike. FU FAL!!!!

Nice try! Its one of those times where you wish a friendly would come in and help you out... but lets be real, they would have shot your and looted your corpse.

I like to gather up tents and make a camp ground, which I then fill up with empty whiskey bottles and tin cans.

Yea... maybe it would have a sign hanging on the front that says, "This is not a booby trap"

I haz solution! Allow someone to create a bobby trap tent. Not just a tent with a bear trap in front of it, but a tent that when someone tries to access the gear, explodes. Have fun loot tents after that :)

I agree about the scope of this "event". Maybe this is one of those times that in a year from now we can tell all the noobs how they have no clue what "hard" means, when they complain about being killed w/o bugs/hacks.

Find out where they are going and jump in front of their vehicle with a G17, turning on the light, and start blasting!
