Sounds good, I really like this idea. I've lost a kill many times to DC'ers, a lot of loot too. This would definitely change peoples minds about disconnecting, they can either stay and put up a fight, having a chance of surviving. Or they can leave and die instantly, loosing everything. The only problem I see with this is if you were to loose connection accidentally in the middle of a fire fight, lets say your PC lost connection to the internet whilst being shot at. You'd unfortunately loose your loot, but I can't see a way of this being worked around without people exploiting it.

I logged in this morning and had nothing in my inventory and my bones were broken, except unlike you I was also missing my backpack. Maybe it had something to do with the ARMA2 update?

I've been playing in this server with my friend for the majority of the day, a couple of hours ago I was suddenly attacked in Cherno. I turned around and noticed the zombies all crowding around a single spot in particular, attacking what seemed to be an invisible player. At first I just assumed this was because I were lagging, and that the players model hadn't loaded fully. After he killed me, I spawned again and began heading towards where my friend was. I eventually tabbed out of the game just south-east of Kamenka on the coastline, beside some rocks to respond to a PM. When I tabbed back into ARMA, I turned and saw a player crouched behind me with a scoped primary and silenced secondary. The first thing I had noticed was that his model was covered in blood and looked injured. Shortly after he dropped a pile of loot including weapons and ammo beside me and then suddenly turned invisible, I tabbed out of the game to start fraps, then I instantly began recording upon getting back in the game. As stated in the video this happened around 19:25pm-19:40pm BST. The players in the server are shown during the video. I hope this is enough proof, and sorry for the over-descriptive post. I just wasn't sure on how much detail to include.

Unfortunately thats their problem. I know it's hard to let go of rare weaponry, regardless of how you got ahold of it, especially in a game like this. But would you rather risk being banned completely?

To me, thats what sounds rather odd though, I do believe you as it's surprisingly a common sight. But for crates to be scattered about the place with (most likely) a mass of military-grade weapons.. Either someone got very lucky and stashed them about the place, or obtained them through illegal means and decided to hand them out to everybody in the server. I'm not necisarily saying it was a hackers doing, but I just wouldn't want to risk anything.

I wouldn't take any chances If I were you. As far as I'm aware, It's posible to get banned for carrying a weapon which isn't part of the mod. I'd recommend taking a look at the wiki to see which loot which spawns legitimately and which doesn't. Even so, usually seeing weapons that are conveniently lying along the coastline is too good to be true. I wouldn't risk it.
