Vilayer is now bad... as the official HIVE.

We host ours from a home computer and it works wonderfully. You would never know the difference. The hardware specs for hosting are blown out of proportion but you really can burn through about 2tb a month on a 40 man server if it's full all the time. But, I would say we have less problems than people who do rent because we know exactly what we have, and full control. So I'm not sure where the all the localhost hate comes from. I guess people just assume because the rules say so.

    Running Lingor Island Server?

There are private Cherna servers as well. You don't have to follow anyone's rules but your own on private hive.
  3. Private server is much better off since you can use admin tools to easily see who is hopping around and having invalid items and how long they've been alive etc. And then can ban them and possibly reinstate gear lost from said hacker. You just have to have a host that allows you full control and not rely on someone to do the work for you.
  4. Not sure what you mean by 'hacked renegade' as Vilayer just uses Bliss and gives them zero credit and acts like they wrote it themselves. If you ever decide to drop Vilayer you should check out KK's Admin Tools, you will get an admin map and you can easily track illegal items and who the person is that's teleporting around.
  5. Snowhawk Clan was the one who put the list of Lingor vehicles together and did all the radar info and I do not see them given any credit there.
  6. It's part of the Lingor Island package, custom vehicles for the map. In the non-DayZ version Lingor has a lot of story to it, the guy did a really amazing job with custom factions, items, vehicles and stuff but for DayZ it was really gutted and most people don't include the Units part of it. Units adds stuff like some airplanes, choppers, vans, ambulances, police cars and stuff made specifically for Lingor.
  7. You could at least give a little credit to those who did the hard work of getting all the Lingor Units Vehicle data :(
  8. How so? You can set the number to pretty much whatever you want to and add spawn location and vehicle type to the database. That's why a lot of servers put like "140+ vehicles" or such in their server name.
  9. I know I always appreciate reports of hackers so we can check them out. So far we've seen a lot less hackers on Lingor but it does happen every now and then. If I see hacked items on a player I usually just ban them outright though so you should be extremely cautious when finding crap like this.
  10. Do not remove it. Please fix it. Add bleeding change instead of broken limb, and maybe allow it to block or at least injure zombies.

    Map Hack detection?

I highly recommend one of the player location tracker maps available. It is only locally available and you can see the inventories of people without needing to look at the mysql data directly. They can even highlight 'suspicious' items that you can set yourself. Like RangeFinders and AS50. It also shows vehicle and tent locations so you can very easily see if they are hopping from car to car, tent to tent.

    Lingor vehicle spawn issues

Sounds like you used the vehicle spawn info for Chernarus instead of a Lingor one.
  13. Max vehicle limit is whatever you set the amount to.

DayZ Server Type Set to Co-Op

This happens to my server as well. Mine will be on the server list for some time, and then won't be. BattlEye is definitely set to be 1/on in the config and we'll be joining just fine and all that, then it just disappears from the list. When you use the IP to see it on the list it says Coop and that BattlEye is off. When you join it'll say BattlEye initialized and up to date.
