I know your point. That if you run for loot in good areas only which might have a great distance between each other. I'm usually go to small loot places while moving to the big one so I don't get bored. I believe the reasons you got bored is because you run straight to big loot places and not having fun by looting small ones. It's the sense of adventure and it's fun. But oh well, I won't debate again. Let the Devs choose the best addition to the game.

Seems like you don't know what I've been talking about explicitly for the 3rd statement. By saying Cernarus, I mean in-game and in forum. Don't try to talk so almighty and trolling people if you don't know the meaning from people's writings. Aside from that, yeah I agree with you that trolls must die. Just don't feed them with yummy tears and rage then they'll die eventually.

I agree with the TS. This "sixth sense" feature ruins the tactical ability from unseen and unheard players. Need to remove this ability from zombies.

Living a life during zombie apocalypse is possible in RL so I support this idea. This also will add more fun to the game.

1. It's one of ARMA 2 limitations, not Day Z team's mistake. 2. It's in alpha stage and it has all ARMA 2 limitations as the mod is bounded to game's features. 3. It's a sandbox Zombie Apocalypse survival game. People can do whatever they want as long as it's not against the game's rules. There are many friendly survivors are willing to help newbies out there in Cernarus, you just need to find them.

Don't add any MMO stuffs in here. It's realism survival. The distance and the moving speed are good atm. What I want is a much bigger map with more cities and villages. That would be awesome.

I got the pitch black night after I go to 1.7.2.3 patch. o.O Dang. I can't play during night time. :( Please tell me if you can find anything to get rid this "darker than darkness" issue. I wanna roam at night again. X( Yes. As long as you do the guide correctly. I've played in 95099 then re-do my guide and I could play at 94876. No problem with going backwards. Will test the latest patch soon.

The link works for me. Probably the site has some requirements to get the download working like what LivingError mentioned. Note that I used Chrome to download. Haven't tried the other browser, though. Anyway, looks like nobody can't answer my pitch black night. Gotta fix this if it's only me with the problem.

Thanks for sharing the solution you did. :) Hope that can be useful for other players with same problem. Anyone got the pitch black environment like in my case? Can't see anything without light source around. It's much darker than the previous patch.

A little out of topic question: is it just me or is the night darker? I can't even see anything except the twinkly little stars above. Has it been made darker than when in patch 1.7.2? Not even the moon gives her light to mother earth? 2nd question... will zombies chase you when you use flashlight somewhere a bit far from them? I mean, is the flashlight's light affect their aggro meter? Sorry for the OOT questions. Never used flashlight near zombies before.

Do you accept SEA region people? Nvm... Your main server kicked me due to 260 ping ( too high ping ), so I think it's a no I suppose. Being in other region sucks. :( Guess I'll just do my daily solo adventure like usual then. G'luck, guys. ;)

Have you run your ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA at least once? I put some additional instructions after the main guide. Also, have you done every step and instruction at the first post? Just want to clarify so I can narrow the error source possibilities.

Can you explain what have you done since your last fresh install until you get the error? Steam or non-Steam?

I'm flattered. :blush: Thanks to the contributors for my guide. Without them, this guide can't be made. I just made a compilation from every possible solution I've done to make my Day Z working. Good to know it helped you, Plunkiy. :D

As far as I know, Day Z devs don't support the rollback anymore for characters. Yeah, sometimes if you're lucky, there could be the old character data restored when you died with your new one.

Glad to know the solution works. :) I don't know why people experiencing this "wiping" issue. Hopefully the next patch can fix that. I didn't experience that issue, though.
