I see no point in quoting statistics, instead if you play the game enough you will see that your wrong about this. I, for one, have had countless adventures end by way of bandit mostly snipers, which i don't mind, because hey shit happens right. My problem with this particular style of "PVP" is that it takes the word versus right out of it. I've done it sometimes myself but honestly where's the versus when your just getting killed from 400+ metres without even knowing the guy is there, and to top it off this has been the only style of "PVP" i have encountered and lost. I tend to run around the towns and actually engage other players, giving them a fighting chance and if i die hey i die. But let's stop calling this long distant sniping "PVP" because in reality, it's just not.

Probably just a bad server restart, happens all the time. Wait till the next restart and check again

Ha ha not quite. we just had some trouble with a few people we have tried to bring in in the past so now we try to be a little more cautious about who we let join. We aren't some pretend clan so there's no answering to a leader or any of that, just a group that enjoy the game and democratically make decisions for the benefit of the entire team. Me and my bro are the only UK players of the team with the rest being from the US hence why we are trying to get more players from our side of the Atlantic. We play on one of our own's server (US East Coast) mainly and occasionally go pvping in towns on different servers when there is little else to do. We communicate through TS3 so having that would be a massive plus. We tend to avoid needless fights, but due to the hostile nature of most players sometimes we make the tough decisions in order not to lose anyone. If your still interested let me know, though i will warn you that I haven't slept yet so may not be able to do one long session today, though i'm gonna try, in case that's what you had in mind. Considering it as our crew has recently decided to recruit a few more people. May i ask how old you are and what you think you can bring to the team?

So has anyone had a vehicle just become another vehicle after a server restart? It's happened twice now and is beginning to confuse me

Me and my crew only have three (due to our numbers it helps) but now every restart we jump back on and it's a completely different vehicle.

Only started happening since new patch. Is this the lol'z rocket spoke of?

Well it seems that this one is for the dedicated server players and not the hoppers. I've logged in and out of one server for the last 12 hours and not been coast spawned once. perhaps its' time to revise one's strategy or is everyone just gonna use that hack argument again and again.

Surely hacking is an issue that's up to Battle Eye to fix. Rocket is trying to fix the issues within his own mod. "Ghosting" is an issue no matter how much you try to say it's not. Granted as i stated before, his motives were good but perhaps his execution was not. If you don't like it, go outside.

So do i, but not everyone does, therefore instant disadvantage to them lone wolves. I think rocket's motives were good though the execution may be a little flawed. Honestly what i find hard to believe is that everyone like to quote "alpha" and "don't get attached to your gear" (which btw i have been told many a time) so i don't see why it's different with regards to this.

Tried this method on a high pop server, not as easy as you make it seem. Kudos to you on your ability to move and look at the player list at the same time.

Tried jumping back on the same server, bet that won't happen. If he didn't people would still be upset with all the "ghosting" so how would you combat both these issues?

Despite all the problems that have arose from the latest patch, old and new, one thing i will have to take my hat off to rocket and co. about is regarding the new server coast spawning. I have been going through countless threads about people bitching about this new feature, and quite frankly, shut the hell up. The only people that are complaining (in my eyes) are the ones who have relied on server hopping for loot, pvping etc. and now i must say shame that your cheap tactic has been nullified and you must battle with honor like the rest of us. Now if you could just kindly fix the glitching with barbed wire etc. i will be one happy bunny. Thanks again Rocket and co.

How about when you get hacked, log off, take a 5 minute break, calm down, and then play again. If a hacker kills you it ends in the same result but with no gear. It seems to me that no matter what rocket seems to try and do to help everyone flames every thing he inputs. He obviously did this to stop the "ghosting" issue that so many people were getting annoyed with. Instead of just hating, why not suggest a better idea to combat this issue?

I find the ones throwing around the insults are the ones who have had their precious ghosting techniques taken away from them. I'm not gonna stoop to your level and start insulting people at the drop of a hat. Need i remind everyone of the first rule of Chernarus? Yes it's unfortunate, hell it happened to me too, but i dont remember a time when people weren't getting sniped in these areas so whats new....

As i said before, as if people weren't doing that to freshies anyhow so i don't see what's changed. of course there's gonna be an uproar about it as there is about everything rocket does to this game. i personally feel that it stops the 'oh im getting shot at, let me just go onto this server get into a different position and try my luck from here' mentality. so i'm willing to bet your probably one of these people that are now throwing their rattles out of the pram because a fault that you abused in the system has been addressed, so stop QQ'ing about it and get used to the fact you have to continue a fight rather than cheat to win. once again, SHAME!

ooooooh guys how bout this? stick to one server that plays well for you and stop trying to server hop for gear or the unfair advantage in a pvp fight. hackers will ruin the game for you none the less but at least there fixing "legit" ways to cheat.

Try better servers that restart more often. I keep a list of all quick loading servers i jump on. And now with this, despite the hacker problem, i find that it makes most people stick to one server to avoid ending up on the coast again.

Thunderdome means you most likely wont spawn where you were anyhow. Besides i think its a small price to pay to get rid of one of the most annoying pvp aspects of the game. If only i had a dollar for everytime i heard that line on the forums. My experiences say differently. Not directed at you as an individual though so don't feel like i'm taking a dig.
