  1. I, like many of you, have become tired of all this hacky nonsense that just seems to keep grieving us and i have found myself often wondering who really has the time to just sit there and grief people online using scripts. And when i say grief, i don't mean the ones who make themselves invincible/ invisible and not the ones who spawn helicopters, cars and weapons as i can see why that makes the experience more enjoyable (though very unfair to others) i am referring to the ones who jump onto a server, kill everyone and then leave to hit the next server. Now we can all assume trolls, script kiddies, care bears who raged at the PVP etc. are the most likely candidates but i have pondered upon a new theory as to who these mystery men truly are. Now i seem to remember recently a certain 'rival' title being announced and since then the number of hacking incidents have skyrocketed to levels not seen before. Now i have no evidence to support this thesis but ever since i heard about War Z the amount of insta-kill hacks i have witnessed, heard about, read about on these forums have reached near ridiculous heights. So i'm not the conspiracy theory type but does anyone else agree that the ones who truly profit from all us aggravated gamers in the run up to DayZ standalone vs WarZ, are those producing that 'other' game. Anyone else agree or have their own views on this?
  2. I for one prefer to just play and find out the good ol' fashioned way.
  3. Oh i'm sorry i didn't realise the King of All Threads was in here. Next time if you don't like what you're reading or don't have an opinion on the matter hit the back button instead of trying to throw in a useless comment or two. It's called general discussion for a reason.
  4. LOL What can i say, i love me some Camel Case bro. Besides it's good grammar to capitalise each word of a title, makes it stand out.

Why the Hero skin is useless

I hate how the hero skin is a complete overhaul of the basic outfit, whereas bandits get a damn towel wrap on their face. Too many kill or be killed incidents to justfy this, i'd rather not die than lose my outfit.
  6. I figured out that the patch makes you spawn on the coast every time you bounce from a 1.7.2.5 server to a 1.7.2.4 server and vice versa, so i would recommend picking a 1.7.2.5 server of which you may spawn on the coast again but if you stick to these updated servers you should find you won't spawn on the coast anymore. Just remember to avoid any server that is currently running 1.7.2.4 and this should hopefully not happen again.
  7. Because i listened in school and don't need some program to do what takes no more than 30 seconds to achieve with my own intelligence. Its not bragging, it's called being educated. I merely suggested googling it because i could see this taking an awful long time to explain, time i don't have for people who like to start throwing around insults when someone was trying to help. Good for YOU.....dick.
  8. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/69796-how-to-stop-the-coast-spawn-issue/ plus hackers dont usually tend to stick around to long so sometimes you can just wait a few minutes

    Play what you paid for

More challenging but the same theory applies.
  21. Not confirmed but i think i Figured it out chaps. If you jump onto a 1.7.2.5 server then go onto a 1.7.2.4 server it will spawn you on the coast and vice versa but if you pick one version and just stick with it, it shouldnt happen. give it a try
  22. My friend's server does this to me occasionally too, just try logging in again, it never normally fails twice. at least not for me

    Play what you paid for

That is a very valid point. My only rebuttal and i've stated this in many a debate, is what most, if not all, bandits classify as "PVP". Though i have done it myself i shan't lie but sitting atop some building or hill etc. sniping players from 400+ meters away without them being aware of your existence takes the word versus out of the term PVP. I personally got bored of it and found it to be terribly unfair to all the new faces coming into DayZ, so now when i pvp i stash all my good loot, if i have any, then grab whatever i can afford to lose and just tear round the two cities causing manic and mayhem. I find it to be a much more enthralling experience for both me and my victims, and it also gives them a fighting chance to at least learn some of the combat mechanics of this game. It's justified to say to be more careful of snipers when scavenging the big city, but when almost every would-be bandit in game is employing the exact same method, the so called "PVP" in this game i find to become stale and boring. I have been playing for a month now and of all the countless times i've died by someone else's hands, 95% of those hands contained a sniper of some calibre. So i ask you, WHERE ARE ALL THE TRUE PVP HEADS AT???!!! THE FEARLESS ONES WHO LOVE THE THRILL OF THE HUNT!! screw this cowardly long range killing, it's weak and down right easy and you know it.
