This game has already gotten WAY TOO soft from what it was... hell the avg. life 3 weeks ago was 32 mins... now its up to 49 mins... i agree, PVP is the best part of this game, zeds are like running stumps... dumber than shit and easy to lose.. trying to stay alive from players is MUCH harder and IMHO alot more fun... i will kill on site just to keep the game interesting... if players get to comfortable in a game it looses its competitive edge, one rule of thumb i live by, dont get too attached to your gear, everyone dies, its just a matter of when and where ;) -
Having troubles running the game

From what youve posted it seems as if you have all your in game settings to low... terrain detail, object detail..ect. Try changing your quality reference to medium instead of high or very high. Another thing you can try is go into your video card settings and turn everything to PERFORMANCE setting as this will enable your card to run full out, then just tweak your ingame arma settings. Hope this helped.. -

find yourself a lee "louds" field and youll drop players with one nice shot to the chest within 300m. but youll also pull half the towns zeds ;) GL -
Another thing you can do is allocate a good chunk of system CASHE to run programs, or just buy a SSD ;) you can find this in system settings, another tip to boost fps is turn off post prossessing effects, ppaa, hdr, anti-anilizing, ect.

the i3 would work... i3 = 2core, roughly $160..... i5 = 4core, roughly $250... much better investment for less than $100...

The option to build your own is a much SMARTER rout to travel... youll pay $500+ for a built pc that you could build yourself for prolly $320... if you building it to play arma II in particular.. this game is very heavy CPU dependent, and not so much graphic dependent. If you can afford a i5 2600k it would be the best place to start. Its easy to upgrade RAM, HD, ect. but your CPU is very important. The Radaeon 7k series is a great card, personally i have the HD 7970 and love it, easliy runs DayZ on ultra high at 100fps.

was in Novy and Stary Sabor last night, when ever i was within 500m of the tents, and looked directly at them... i would get massive screen tears and flickering... usually VSYNC turned ON fixes this issue to the point where its playable... but since the patch it seems to do little... once i was a good 1-1.2km from the site the glitches were non existent.. -
