Of all the maps you're posting the ArmA II map. At least post the right map ;) They've added a lot in the Standalone map, for example, about 5 extra kilometers along the complete north side

When transfusing, it's important to know whether the blood type given is compatible with that of the recipient. So I took this table, and provide it to you for info. As far as I know, there are only + types in DayZ, but I'm not really sure about that. Source: Wikipedia EDIT: I think it's funny that my ingame character has exactly the same blood type as me ;)

I also had very strange character magic going on today. I started dayz, pressed play, but because my regular server wasn't available, I had to select one from the list. I started at the coast as a fresh spawn... Well, I switched on my flashlight (as it was night) and started searching for loot. Everything was empty, so after a while, say 15 mins, I chose to select a different server. There, I spawned at the coast again, but this time without a flashlight... Ok, something fishy going on :/ Because night without a flashlight isn't really pleasant, I chose to switch server again. This time I spawned as an old version of my current character :O in a place I once logged out of. I don't know what's going on, and why, but it appears that several states of my character are still stored. Let's hope devs read this (or find out themselves, probably) and find a fix soon, and maybe even preserve our (newest*) characters doing so. :thumbsup: ^_^ :beans: *newest as in: before the bug

Or you could set dayzdb.com/map as your homepage in the steam webbrowser if you really want to use a map. Then you can shift+tab straight to the map and back to the game.

I really think that would be a coinicidence. That it just happened the same time as the character wipe. This morning I was playing and our modem got accidentally switched off. Because of that I lost connection (no message received...). Later, in the evening, I started playing again, but my game just resumed at the point where I lost connection. So either it was indeed a problem and has been fixed or the character wipe was when you were logged in (so you die after you disconnect) or maybe you lost connection just before the wipe. This is what I can come up with. But most importantly, it probably won't happen again unless there's another wipe

I loved your story! I really like reading player's experiences when they're in story form. On your question: Most likely character wipes occur when rolling out updates. I haven't done research in this part, but I think it's that, perhaps combined with other reasons. It's alpha, and you'll probably have a better experience if you know that beforehand and just keep in mind you're playing the game for testing purposes :) I don't really mind anymore when my character gets reset. Partly because I think the most fun part of the game is gearing up from scratch and really have a struggle to survive. cya ingame (maybe)

Looks f-- awesome! Can't wait Downloading right now from Steam. Actually I coudn't affort to buy games for some time. Skipped bf4 and others because of that. But I can make an exception for this, knowing the money is put to good use by these developers. 24 euro well spent, I'd say. Now let's hope we can play this game again with the immersion I felt and the awesome memories I had when the mod just started. Those were some great times! cheers and see you ingame ;)

I've recently found [WdW] DayZ - UK Private hive Very stable server, with very friendly and helpful people. It's in my favorites in sixlauncher, but It is a private hive, so you'll have a different character for just that server. very active and good admins as well.

immersion

When I first played the game, It was night and I was exploring cherno a bit. Then I found my first weapon. A CZ550. I also met a group of players who were communicating trough the ingame chat (pretty stupid if you ask me) so I just blended in and they didn't have a clue anymore who was who. I ended up firing a few shots in the air and sprinting away to the top of a crane, watching how almost every zombie from cherno went nuts attacking the group :D

alice pack AKM with 4 mags M14 AIM with 3 mags in pack m1911 with 7 mags lots of food and drink, some painkillers, an auto injector and a few bandages also binoculars, watch (who needs a compass then :P), map, hunting knife, hatchet, toolbox but then I died now only have a makarov, can of beans and a bottle of water

why delete? maybe there are others with the same problem? Why don't you post the problem with the solution for others to find?

Ah man I love reading all these experiences from other players. Makes this game feel like a world of itself :)

You have zeroing on your optics, that means it's set to compensate for a particular distance.

Legacy, I believe that that 'teleport' you're talking about is just lag. Even on the best connected servers there seems to be a very common issue with player positions and/or movement. So it could be that the player positions just got 'updated'.

same here: What happened: HUGE decrease in framerate. Normal 40-60, now 10-15 Where you were: At the spawn on the beach, although that was not where I logged out. But that's a common thing. What you were doing: spawning, being confused Installed version: 1.6.0.1 Servers you were on: Switched different servers from northwest european countries, Didn't fix the problem System specs: AMD Phenom II X6 1090t, MSI GTX560 Ti Hawk, 2x4GB DDR3 RAM, MSI 870A-G54, lots of HD space, win7 ultimate 64 Timeline of events before/after error: Never occured before. All previous versions (playing since 1.5.6) worked well. I tried some single player afterwards, also no problems. It's only when playing DayZ multiplayer. Please respond, hope you'll come with a solution or a fix that isn't too much of a problem for you. etc..
