I like to PVP a bit on new spawns just to mess around for a while. If I end up with good gear I'll make my way out and go north.

Hmm yeah I didn't think about the zeroing, but if you memorize the DMR chart for zoomed in ranges you get something that i think is even more robust than just zeroing. You can slightly adjust higher or lower on milidots to get between 400 and 500 with precision, for example. Also DMR mags are everywhere. Do you guys find the zeroing to be a lot easier to be precise? I haven't used an AS50, just a CZ and I found zeroing to be a bit obtuse when in between ranges.

Hello all, I wanted to get a poll of public opinion on this topic. A review of the ranges of the AS50/M107 vs the DMR will show that the AS50/M107 outrange the DMR by 400+ meters. However, does the 800m range really limit the DMR in any way given the current map? The rendering of characters post 800m is somewhat iffy (depending on PCs) and the newly adjusted fog greatly limits visibility most of the time. Would the DayZ public say that the AS50 and M107 is no longer superior but equal to the DMR, since DMR also can be used with night vision? Thanks for your input.

I was in US 562 - 4FK and was kicked along with about 20 others. Two players remain inside, locked in, with the server connected to the hive. This occurred at approximately 3:10PM EST (New York Time). It was down for under 10 minutes which I've heard in forums may signify a BattleEye shut down so they can spawn gear without getting caught. These guys have been on all morning from what I observed from 11:45AM today EST. Pretty obvious that it's being done to loot heli's and get vehicles. See the screenshots below:
