Goddamnit, I was about to post something relevant, but your .gif of the stunning Alison Brie has completely wiped my mind clean.

@Whyherro123 lol, you seem to go out of your way to proclaim how much you hate them. Guess what, you can't get grabbed in this game. You are also not a Roman legionaire or a Scandinavian viking, because again.. it's a game! And not even a game where these two archetypes are included. I really have no idea why are you getting so worked up over this. So much that you had to be bothered to justify it with a tantrum about real life examples. Get over it.

Ah well, guess I am going back to ArmA2/3 Singleplayer and Bioware cRPGs. :( :D

Average FPS in the wilds: 20-30 Average FPS at cities: 10-15 Suffice to say, it runs like battered shit (I am guessing CPU is the culprit here). In firefights I usually have to rely on my teammates for the most part. But I have high hopes for optimizations in the beta or polishing stage.

Pretty sure this little garage has been there since Operation Flashpoint (or the model at least). I may have seen it a bunch of time on the old Nogova island.

With how many groups did you play with and what was your experience with them? Ever being stuck with some people because you never had anywhere else to go for example? My experience: Group Number 1 A bunch of guys who were just well... I don't even know how to describe it. 90% of the gameplay for them consisted of hoarding equipment from server hopping empty servers. I don't think we've ever played this game normally (PvE or PvP). The only players we had ever encountered were those who just happened to come by to those empty servers and whenever it was more than 5 players, the group reconnected to another, more empty place. Oh, and usually someone stupidly died from bugs or human error so the entire "run to every military base and camp on a 0/50 server" had to repeat again and again. Also, I absolutely despised my teammate who introduced me to the team. He was decked in the latest, pristine equipment and weapons... but he never used it. Whenever we ran into someone, he ran away. Whenever I told him to cover this spot (or someone's body so they could run to it), he ran away. Whenever shit hit the fan in general, he always RAN AWAY JUST TO SAVE HIS EQUIPMENT GAH. He had a a fully equipped M4 as well and I shit you not... he hasn't shot from it even once for the past 2 months now and at the same time he kept bothering us that we should all camp in houses on the Novodimitrovsk square and kill other newspawns. Bleh. I sorta stopped playing with them last week and I am on my own now. Group Number 2 Back from the mod days. A much more competent group. With a leader who was an awesome sniper and had Call of Duty reflexes. The thing was, he was reaaaaally bossy, demanding, despotic.. and kind of a showboating douche, really (he was still a nice guy if you showed competence, though). The rest of the team didn't really had much say into our progress, we were mostly there just to kill other players (armed or non-armed), strike wherever he pointed and doing none of that "survivor carebear bullshit". Granted, this was a much better experience than the first one, but it felt more like an ArmA2 realism milsim group than a bunch of friends playing DayZ. The group disbanded after we tried the first alpha version of DayZ. People kept saying we would all go back together after DayZ hits at least the beta state, but I think they've buried the game for good. So... what are your group or clan experiences? Encountered something similiar? Or perhaps your experience was better than mine?

Sounds like fun. I wish some of my RL friends would be into DayZ as well, heh. But alas.

Vehicles - Will we be able to shoot from them?
Ceallach replied to NikoGT's topic in General Discussion
Shooting from vehicles (and helicopters, boats) is already possible in the ArmA3 Dev branch, although it's still being tested before the free release. -
Is that guy sitting on the campfire? :D

Ah, I fondly remember this map. Back when it was originally made for OFP as a SP campaign, and then ported to ArmA1 and 2. Good times. I remember having a full geared guy on the public Namalsk HIVE (2x winter clothes, DMR, Gauss Rifle etc.), around 2012-13. ..I don't suppose my character would be still alive and working eh? :D

Is DayZ really set in fictional Ukraine?
Ceallach replied to Mr Sunshine Kid's topic in General Discussion
Pretty damn much. I wish people would actually bother or at least give a shit about where it at all came from (ArmA2). :D Chernarus info -
Not for me. I automatically jump when I press V during sprinting. And I vault when I am walking/running.
-
Well you can't accurately pinpoint someone's location with it, of course. But for me it always worked (most of the time) for evaluating wheter someone is in the same town as me etc. I don't know, maybe I was just lucky with it. *shrugs*

Or you could try comparing your bandwith with other players on the list (when they are not buffering on 87) and compare the distances. Doesn't work all the time, but it saved my ass a few times as well.

On which servers do tents save your loot?
Ceallach replied to Kalle Bowo's topic in General Discussion
Not anymore. They were moved to the apartments. -
Don't do that. The tent gets either stuck in the air or falls through the ground. We had to carry it downstairs in an empty mountain backpack.

Ceallach replied to Kalle Bowo's topic in General Discussion
We found two. On a rooftop and a balcony. -
Are you by any chance related to Ivan Chesnokov? :P

What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?
Ceallach replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Oh dear, wait till Katana sees this post. :P -
Next time I see a Russian bandit squad I'm going to play this song through my mic.
Ceallach replied to OptimumVision's topic in General Discussion
He's from Finland, what were you expecting? From what I have seen, there is a general dislike between Russians and the Finnish (I am actually surpried no one dropped the name Simo Hayha again, because that's pretty much the only thing you hear during their arguments). You can bet your ass if the roles were reversed, the ruskies would bury him alive as well just because he's a Finn. :D -
Wait, I see a bunch of servers with the name PERSISTENCE: ON. So does it actually keep the tent after the 0.49 update or not? Is it even worth unpacking one?

Found Gorka E Military Helmet + Visor in one run
Ceallach replied to TheWizard14's topic in General Discussion
I kinda wish we got the full plated version of the visor instead of riot one (see below). But that'll do I guess, maybe in next updates as a different variant? :) -
Unless I just fell down from a ledge into a bush or a barbed wire, no.

From a skinny ass, 17 years old kid who probably still lives and will live till the next 20 years with his parents, in a basement? It is.

Yep, definitely not. The Zeds have an annoying habit of moving few paces forward whenever they play the attacking animation, possibly throwing you off balance.
