Woah calm down, there's nothing to get mad over, is it? This is the general discussion, there is no violation that i know of and beside, there is even a pinned thread about sharing your stories ;) Is it wrong to gain pleasure from someone else's misery? Well if you really can't stand someone who shares his victories through a forum then simply move on. 'nuff said.

Yup, the first time i had a successful confrontation with another human player it was me and another guy from my group. We were in a military medical camp and right after he told me not to go in too fast because there might be someone in there, i saw a guy with an mp5 waiting for us, i screamed "holy shit" and we both spammed our Winchester/ Lee Enfield on him. After that i realized that my heart was pounding and i had a sudden adrenaline rush. The second time was when i saw 2 heavily equipped players with m107/ghillie suits, i just respawned and they even had a car. They went out of their car because someone else tried to shoot them while they were driving. Then i took the opportunity and snatched the car when they were away for a brief moment. started blowing my horn and singing my victory song. I then proceeded to hide the car and loot it. If only i had recorded it.

I was playing with my group, we all got killed by another group. I respawned in Elktro, heading to Cherno. I didn't want to attract too much attention while going to Cherno so i was running along the forest. I finally arrived at a rocky mountain and i was slowly sliding down the mountain. At mid process, i went afk to go take a piss and when i came back, i saw a red car going at full speed through the road, they didn't notice me, kept going. Suddenly, i see someone directly south of me who shot the car, didn't notice me either, so me, without any weapon, simply decided to go prone and see what happens. Those two in the car were some pretty experienced players, they had ghillie suits, m107, geared to the teeth. They both get out of the car to see where he is, but seeing those two with some heavy gears, he immediately logs out. Seeing the car right in front of me, without any protection, i take my chance and run towards it, i successfully steals the car while they're still looking for the other guy. While singing my song of victory to my group, i blow my horn as they find their red car slowly getting away from them. They tried to shoot at me with their sniper but they were unsuccessful. After meeting my mates at Cherno, i took a look at the inside of the car: pp-19, m16a3 grenade launcher, m4a3 CCO, mk48 Thanks for the car and the loots mate :D that surely was the most victorious and most epic 2 minutes of DayZ i had to date.

The only downside in this story is that when i tried putting some of the weapons in my backpack, they de-spawned :/ Was planning to give one weapon to each of my group mates.

Intel i5-2310 quad 2.9 Ghz Sapphire HD 5750 1gb 6 gb RAM I should be able to play this game on high settings without any kind of lag but i always get huge FPS issues(more likely mouse lags, because my mouse movements are slightly delayed). Right now i'm playing the game at lowest settings and 500 visibility, anyone found an efficient solution to play this game without lag? What i tried to do: turn off mouse smoothing tweaking the files a little bit play on lowest settings without 500 visibility -------------------------------------------------------------- Result: It is efficient since i can play without FPS lag now but i still won't be completely satisfied as long as i can't play this game at least on medium settings without lag. Also, if any of you found out how to turn off Hyperthreading, it would be appreciated if you would tell me how to.

I think i found a solution to my problem. I set my memory thing to very high instead of default, some guys said it would be better at default but as it seems, i run much smoother the memory at very high. I also set my graphics at medium settings and it's not as laggy as it used to be.

According to system requirements and Can You Run It, i should be able to run this game on max settings without any lags

It happened to me too. You just have to die and respawn and you'll get your old character back if he wasn't dead. I don't know for sure it's going to work but you can always try.

So i bought this game about 2 days ago and finally made this game work after going through countless errors and lagging issues. The game is harder then i thought though, people just kill on sight. I've been killed about 2 times by snipers and 4 times by zombies :S So that's when i though this game would be much more enjoyable with a several people to play with. So anyone who's willing to teach a noob how to play and have some fun, hit me up. My skype username is "pixelblaster1"

I'm wondering how bad did the developers optimize this game. I'm playing at a fairly low settings and it still lags when i'm looking at forests and vegetations and such. Actually, if they optimized this game properly i think my rig would be able to run this game at higher settings without lagging. My system specifications: Intel i5-2310 Quad 2.9 Ghz Sapphire HD 5750 1gb 6 gb RAM 1.5 terrabyte memory It's really sad that i can't play this game without lag thought, i so wanted to enjoy this game.

It's getting ridiculous, the only way i can play without lag is at lowest settings 1280 X 960 resolution.

Well i hope so, in Can You Run It, i'm supposed to be able to run this game at max settings without any kind of lag and that's what i get. The game is disappointing me.

I was been excited to try this game and bought it when it was on sale on Steam. After going through numerous errors and issues, i finally jump in a server. I immediately notice the lag and try to tweak some of the configurations and turned off mouse smoothing. It helped, but only a little bit, the game is still extremely laggy when looking at a forest or when i'm in a town. My system specs: Intel i5-2310 Quad 2.9 GHz 6 GB ram Sapphire HD 5750 1 GB It should be more then enough to run this game on medium-high settings without much lag but for some reasons, this game was horribly but horribly coded.

This got to be the most wicked idea i have ever seen. Personally i don't agree to this idea, at all. I would go as far as some people would literally quit if this system was implemented.

I don't know honestly, it would be indeed more realistic but personally, i don't think this is needed. Maybe when bugs would be fixed but other then that, i don't think it's needed.

It kinda reminds me of Dead Frontier. Which is a browser based zombie mmorpg It had all these classes which gave advantages to certain stuff at the beginning.
