7 Hours of fix's and tweaks and it just doesnt work

You tried the Ramdisc Fix? that's what worked for me. Also, you paided £25 for Arma, not for Dayz which is free. That's like moaning you spent £12,000 on a car and the air freshener the put in it was no good. -
Streaming DayZ from RAMdisk (How-to/Performance)

Hey guys. I've done all the steps, but I'm a bit confused what to change my (steam) shortcut target too; It currently reads as: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -noSplash -noFilePatching -showScriptErrors "-mod=C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\arma 2;expansion;expansion\beta;expansion\beta\expansion;@DayZ" The drive I want to change it too is called 'E'. -EDIT- I fixed it, it was simply \expansion;g:\@dayz and everyone said, but I wasn't running Ramdisc which was fairly stupid of me. All issues now fixed, including my game-breaking stuttering! Thanks everyone - Andrew -
Zombie Momentum - Occasional rarer zombie.

I've been mulling this over for a while, I think it fixes some issues. You have a uncommon spawning zombie, it only spawns in areas where higher level loot are found (Airbases, etc). If 'this sort' of zombie gets close to you, it has a 'Push' effect, making you fall to your feet and having to get back up. This stops you being able to shoot for a short, precious second or so. This zombie has the same amount of health as any military zombie, and isn't any real threat if respected and killed like Zombies should be. NOTE: As stated, this zombie would be rare (05% spawn?), and it only would spawn in 'higher level' areas such as cities and military bases. It wouldn't be a new player killer as it wouldn't be found in those areas. Outline: This is meant as a tool to make Zombies more of a threat at higher levels, encourage group play and make Zombie mobs seem more of a threat. What this should achieve: - Having a massive hoard of zombies chasing you is less unrealistic and far more dangerous, if they get close, you can die (Rather than running away forever). - This makes farming loot, etc, at higher levels more dangerous to do Solo, as Zombie hoards are a bigger threat. - Higher level PvP should take an interesting turn - You seem many PvP fights where they ignore the zombie mob till everyone's dead. Having the chance of being knocked down really forces players to consider if angering the hoard is a good idea, and hopefully you'd get some interesting standoffs with two groups who want to kill each other, but they don't want to 'pull' the Zombies'. Issues: - It would have to be a very close AoE attack that effects one person to work, this would require work and I can see some bug issues. - Wall Clipping Zombies, etc, would need to be fixed. - There would be timing issues to consider with ping, etc.

How about area's have failing power? so certain cities have lights that flicker on and off every now and then for mintues at a time? (With lots of sparks, buzzing, etc) It would certainly be simpler to set up.

Need to hide my loots... camo netting suggestion
Ruddager replied to themisfitjoe's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
If this was the case playing on a Clan server would be worse than it already was. The only thing stopping players from becoming Stalking Uber-gods (i.e - the loose there precious loot) would be cut loose. You'd try and start a new and you'd be mown down 50 thousand times two steps into the game. -
Scorped rifles need to go or become ULTRA rare
Ruddager replied to Mutonizer's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think all issues with this would simply be sorted by randomizing the spawn points of players and items a bit more. Who's going to bother camping when you don't know where to camp? Making players stand out less when zoomed in would also be good, but in reality I don't know how possible that is. -
Why do you think this would be a good idea? You'd start playing the game a few months down the line, and a sever would be filled with Cars, Helicopters and bases filled with the best loot. Next thing you'll ask for is not loosing your guns when you die.
