the only way to reverse this is to re-purchase the game (i think), and its a fitting punishment -
Sins of a hacking gamer...
MikeTupper replied to DigitGreen (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
you deserve your ban. It dosen't surprise me that a hacker turns out to be a kid under 18. -
Anyone who starts another thread about punishing/regulating/marking bandits and banditry will have their character develop leprecy. Amiright?
-
I took it for granted before starting that there was gonna be one, but there isnt. It would be easy to implement, therefore very welcome. There could also be leaderboards
-
No, not really. Ever since I've not been a noob, I haven`t died from zombies. You learn their patterns, their detection skills, and myself I don't bother going prone anymore. I run through town, then lose them in a building. It's 10 times faster, and makes it harder for snipers to hit you
-
you're such a troll, you know the developpers WANT feedback right? Stop trying to be a smartass, this game is in alpha and it won't stay as it is because its always improving and looking for improvement. You fail
-
and it seems with the success of dayz, there is hope for a real game with dayz-type mechanics to come out (zombieU, WarZ, the dayz stand-alone) so the game we've dreamed about since forever I think will come out in the next few years
-
I think its made pretty clear from the start that the character is a trained survivalist/soldier. Just judging by the kind of backpack he starts out with, having a military-type bandage and the way he vaults obstacles. After all, it would be boring to play a civie who cant do shit and is too scared to pick up a gun. As for horror, what makes a game a horror game is more often than not scripted events aimed at creating tension/surprise/atmosphere/shock. This game has no scripted events whatsoever, and it never pretended to be a survival-horror. It's more just a zombie apocalypse simulator.

find matches, hunting knife, hatchet, water bottle. Congratulations, you've won dayz

Everyone has seen the railroad tracks, how cool would it be if an actual train would come by once in awhile. I know what you're thinking: "But this is the zombie apocalypse, who's operating that train?". Well, to my knowledge, those tracks start and end at different ends of the map, suggesting that it goes farther. There's an actual railroad in russia that goes from moscow to vladivostok in the far east. What if that track goes through chernarus? It starts in moscow, where we can suggest the zombie apocalypse hasn't reached yet. When it comes through chernarus, you could hitch a ride on the side of a car to travel from cherno to, say, berezino, or wherever you feel that the train is passing through. Or it could actually be operated by zombies, which would be terrifying.

Add new types of loot buildings

Tried to hit "Options", hit "Respawn" by mistake
MikeTupper replied to genghisjohn's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
sometimes the characters cant take the pressure, they just "respawn" -
no, no, no, you could grab onto it AS its moving. it dosent stop
-
cargo trains dont move fast at all
-
Well the train wouldn't have any AI, it'd just run through chernarus and you'd have to grab onto it
-
actually they'd be heading to vladivostok, where let's pretend there are zombies there
-
I've never been good at shooters, so most of the time, when i spot someone and they don't, I ask myself "what if I miss? Can I take him? I dont think so, I suck at CoD" so I just let them pass

Make Hatchet more readily available as weapon
MikeTupper replied to MajPayne21's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
yeah totally, i used to drop my primary, equip the hatchet, kill zombie, re-equip primary, but now I just dont bother anymore, i shoot then i shoot all the others zeds that come. There should be an easy way to equip the hatchet -
dont worry it'll come along. I learned everything without online help, you'll get the hang of it too. Food spawns, only much more rarely than sodas. Supermarkets usually spawn canned goods, but they're death traps
-
thats the stupidest idea i ever heard. This isnt first-grade with gold stars reward system The only reward you ever get is living a bit longer
-
Cant even get close to a town without being killed?
MikeTupper replied to Wheatleyy's topic in New Player Discussion
as soon as you're spotted run into a building. aggro the zombies to middle of building, leave said building. No more zeds -
Question to players complaining about getting killed
MikeTupper replied to Kiro (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
I don't like the shoot first ask questions later attitude, so instead of complaining I did something about it. Now i'm a vigilante that kills snipers. Hehehe -
For the good of the game: everything needs to breakdown!
MikeTupper replied to BossFi's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
i agree. You shouldn't be able to be "set for life", because as it is, my survivor is pretty the best he could get, and there's no more incentive to loot. -
Fastest way to build up blood if your alone ?
MikeTupper replied to TheGantoo's topic in New Player Discussion
canned foods: 200 blood Cooked meat: 800 blood, youll need a hatchet (or wood), a hunting knife, raw meat, and matches (good luck with getting those if you're new). If you're a lone wolf like me, the first time you cook a whole cow is a real epiphany -
I started that thread about krasnostav for the newbies, and its true that the ratio loot/risk is pretty good, but nowhere is safe
