I was near cherno, and hesitating to get in because i could hear gunshot (a pig distracted me, i had to gut him and have his sweet sweet steak). While I was gathering wood to cook, I heard a weird scream, kind of like the wilhelm scream, and everyone on the server was teleported in one huge clusterfuck in the middle of nowhere. I immediately disconnected and so saved my 14-day character. Others were probably not as lucky. When I connected to another server, i checked the map and saw I was way, way, way more west than NW airfield, on the edge of the map, in a place simply called Wilderness. It took me 10 minutes to find civilization again. Any thoughts?

I'm not new to dayz, ive logged in close to 250 hours, but today I found loot i'd never found before. I came across a red roof barn in my travels, it was somewhere between pustoshka and kabanino I think, so I decided to check it out because why not, and there was some cool stuff (there was a CZ in there) but in one of the corners, I found a strange thing on the floor. A steak of raw meat, just lying there. It was right in a pile of other loot, so it was surely not another player that left it there. It was the first time I'd found some raw meat as loot. Is this an oddity or does this actually happen often?

lol loudspeakers from helicopters, I can imagine it now: "I will not hurt or harm you. Just give me back the board, Lance. It was a good board... and I like it. You know how hard it is to find a board you like..." -
If someone wants to play in peace in a low server, so be it. Who cares, they're alone there

Start With Nothing (Or one randomised Item)
MikeTupper replied to Howler's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
i say you shouls spawn with ONE item, but its completely randomized. You could start with a bandage, or an AKM mag, or an empty tin can, anything. Just one, randomized item -
im not sure what you mean by "ability asses danger"

Disable wirefence (till graphic glitches removed)
MikeTupper replied to theRapist's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
zombies are not stopped by wirefence. It's used by trolls to wire churches for lulz on their way back to camp to get duped ammo for their duped sniper rifle -

There needs to be a reason not to kill
MikeTupper replied to BrighTide's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Many times you don't NEED to kill them. I often spare people who are unarmed or only with an axe. One time I even saved an unarmed guy in a barn who was surrounded by zombies. He said "thank you" over the mic, I gave him my sidearm and he ran away. I felt like I had just been morally superior to everyone else lol -

don't feed the troll -
So lately I've been running around the map because I don't have a lot left to do in DayZ, I have pretty much everything. I've been exploring the more isolated corners of the map, and i've found some surprising stuff. There are some pretty unique structures, unmarked on the map around chernarus. I was pretty excited when I found them, however they were just there for show it seems, because they had no loot. One example of this is a dam in the north-west. I think it's the biggest dam on the map, and from behind it you can actually go under the dam, making it a (sort-of) building, where I thought there would be loot, but it's not a loot-spawn point. Another perfect example is in Rify bay, north of Berezino. There's a sunken ship in the water there, with half the ship protruding from the water. I was very excited when I found that, and I actually took the time to hide my gun and backpack in the rocks on the bay and swim to the boat, alas you couldn't even walk onto the boat, it could've just as well have been a rock. I propose that players be rewarded for exploration. This has already been implemented in the castles. Why not the other places?

dangnabit, i had my longest survivor yet, he had an ALICE pack with inside, among other things, mountain dew, morphine, etc.. I went to NW airfield, found a coyote backpack (you know, the biggest pack in the game), took the pack, then when I went to pick up the stuff from my ALICE pack, the pack was gone. "NOOOOO" I shouted, darth vader style. Two minutes later a zombie broke my leg. It was the first time I actually needed morphine since the beginning of that life a week ago. But it was gone. Now i'm prone in NW airfield, hoping next time i'll connect there'll be morphine right there waiting to be picked up. Sooooo, any news if that backpack bug will be fixed soon?
