What do you think a mod is mate? A mod[ification] is a alteration of the COMPLETED program. Using the original textures, meshes and features available. Ie the game map. made by Bohemia. The mod is only in alpha Dev. The Game has been developed for 3 years. The standalone may be a year away but its hard to make a alpha game work on a game that is still beta patching itself.

no, your character is based on your registry key. if you were to buy two copies on two different steam accounts and install them on two differnt computers that would work fine, but therwise one steam account ( the second install) is likely to overwrite the first key. I just do the regedit method myself ((comment based on the first two comments))

Im runnning it on a hp pavilion dv 5 with a amd turion x2 (2.0ghz x2) with 3gb of ram and a ATI Radeon 3400 HD on Win 7 and at normal settings it runs smooth on any server below 300ms latency. This laptop is over 5 years old and i just re did the thermal paste and had to buy a new battery and just upgraded this laptop to Win 7. Laptops Can run Day Z and so long as your PC is running win 7 id say go for it.

i had that error after installing on a second computer, i had to delete all local content from steam, delete all remnants from the registry, and re download, of course if yours isnt a steam version try simply uninstalling then double check the registry for remnants, before reinstalling. I tried to avoid a full reinstall myself as many seperate ways as i could but this was the least frustrating and it actually worked. So long as you're not pirating of course.

So to begin with, I was like oh yeah PvP alright then, but ill be friendly, i wont kill anyone. Then After saying friendly a few times and still getting shot, or getting shot before saying friendly or getting sniped (absolutely no warning) i got a little angry. And i moved on to survival instincts. Theres a guy (1m away) *bang*, theres a body. Wonder if he was friendly. Its how the game works mate. Its the essence of PvP. And if you dont like it then introduce them to your own karma system like weve all been doing, a shot to the head, and loot their corpse. The best karma system around.
