In the database there should be a table with all the vehicles and there spawn points, just add some more to the table :)

Open up the "start.Bat" inside see where it points to, you probably have to change the url in there so it poinbts to the correct server exe.

I'm trying this server now, it is a server using an extended version of DayZ. To play here you have to download the extended MOD of "DayZRedux". I like the idea and for 2 days i've been playing very nice on there server, it runs good, no lag or whatever. Try it, it keeps the spirit of Rocket alive..........which most of the servers do NOT anymore, most DayZ servers are PvP servers and the main idea of a post apocalyptic surviving game has been lost there. Wait for the stand-alone version before returning to the public hive, for now just test out these different privat hives. i love the prospect of the stand alone having the "real" spirit back to the game, the virus will be back to live and you can get infected. Sickness and cures will bring a reall challange back to the game. This was the idea from the beginning, Rockets was able to test some logics for it without the main public knowing what is going on. It has been kept a closed secret, but he talked to much in his last filmed interview. I can not say to much, but he actually gave away the idea ( looked at the turd sign to long.... :) ) Just test out these privat hives, and don't be fooled with some kind of dodgy executables or applications needed for playing on a private hive, you should not have to install applications to play on private hives !!!! For the server i just mentioned, you only have to download a "addon" folder which you put in the directory of arma at the same location the @DayZ folder is located, then you only have to change your start-up parameter. Well if it is a private hive, you should have made sure before start you have an empty database file as backup. Completely remove the dayz database and replace with an empty one.

Well did some first try's on the server. Runned all well for me, not that my surviving went any good, killed in Berenzino the the supermarket close to the army tents. I tryed to use direct chat but nobody reacted, i played the friendly dude, killed some zombies running behind some woman character, she runned into my apartment building and stayed downstairs, though, because i saw she had a bigger gun then me, that if she wanted to kill me she would have done already, so after a couple of minutes it seemed safe outside so i went downstairs, saw her in a room, but i didn't want to kill in my first 20 minutes, so i run outside, well the bitch shot me in the back, i made it to the supermarket and saw her running around and try to flank me. stayed inside and waited her out well she came and she won the m16 vs m1911 battle, fair fight still little lame, letting live all that time when i was taking out the zombies :( Started again a new character and try my surviving again :) , Lets see tomorrow :)

There seem to be multiple databases around, what do you use ? I can't find the "instances" table, so i have "Pwnoz0r"'s one, there's different kinds with different table layouts. I haven't figured it out, but you have to "TimeZone" the database ?!?

In the player profile file you can individual change settings for recruit,veteran or mercanary. In other words, you can have the map icons enabled in a mercanary setting.

It is the mission file, NOT the server file !

If privat server, you can just enable it yourself. I'm not behind my game pc, but i think it is in the mission file itself or it was in the server config file. the command looks like this: disableChannels[]={0,1,...,6} 1 is the side channel, just remove it from the command and save the mission file again, you now have side channel enabled. Later when im home i'll tell you what file it is.

I understand your feeling. I have the same, i hope so much the standalone will be much more then what we have now. I suggest the option to make strongholds, so people have some sort of save places they can travel too. The same time we need very difficult zombies, so surviving would be very hard. These strongholds are nice targets to fight about, not everybody is able to stay online 24/7 so the strongholds are occupied by different players all the time. Sometimes you are maybe welcome and sometimes they maybe don't like to have to many players in there stronghold, maybe because they don't have enough food to dispens to all inside the save haven. Food and drink should be very rare, so searching will become important, and since the zombies will be way more dangerous it might be wise to leave the stronghold with at least 2 people. Finding food and supplies should be very difficult. I understand that in the standalone version the real reason of this apocaliptic zombie world is the VIRUS(lol NOGOVA VIRUS, VODKAAAA) This virus will still be active and players can be infected, the end game will probably be to find a final cure for this virus, so a new loot search for medical and laboratorium stuff is needed. All this should make the game more interesting, you need help from other players much more then now. I can just hope...... ps: the final cure(end game ) can be delayed by the developer for years :)

Please Rocket, fix the duping and offmap parking of stuff and then please whipe the hive. It is impossible not to find a L85, please remove the heavy weapons too.

If your not able to collect shitloads of stuff it seems that you have a problem then :) The island is littered with big duping tent camps, your not even have to search for them, you just run into them everywhere. But hey, you don't have to react to this anymore, i'm not wasting anymore time on this don't worry, i'm playing the game.

Thanks for correcting me on the wipe/whipe. Please learn to read, i'm not saying an L85 is a heavy weapon. Don't say i'm not knowing what i'm talking about.... On 15 differtent servers i have : 45 L85, 26 As50, 78 NVGoggles, 17 M107's, about a hanger full of all ammo for all guns, have a clothing store with 400 ghillies and camos, we have 14 tents filled all the way with only Mountain Dews, we have all vehicles on 4 servers.................. I'm just bored with it. Don't say i'm moaning, i was just giving a suggestion. And yes, i'm playing on privat hives now, it is way better there, and i'm having fun trying to find some axex again. I'M NOT COMPLAINING

Buy a new game. kick your brother and let him use his savings to buy you a new game. This is your only option ! Cheating/Hacking is a serious crime in game-land.

Sorry my friend, you still not have an answer for fixing your problem "now". You are probably not able to "save" the building, blowing it up might be a solution.

Like i said before, we are badly in need of a new patch that fixes the duping and whipes the database clean. "its an alpha" isn't it, shit happens, whipe the database.

If you are server admin, are they not extra in the database ? It is time for a patch, and a whipe of the public DB.

Reinstall game is maybe best option. Make sure to clean all good after uninstall, remove all folders that were of arma before reinstalling fresh install

Where are you, do you need a kill ?

The one thing i'm brainstorming about is his last line: Profit. I suggest just to get Arma3 out massively and make Dayz only playable if people have arma 3. What's more handy then a game which you can sell twice :)

with the left alt pressed you can look around while keep running forward, sometimes the "free look around" gets "stuck" or you just double clicked the left alt key, or you pressed the * key on the num pad. I'm sure this is his problem.
