The one thing i'm brainstorming about is his last line: Profit. I suggest just to get Arma3 out massively and make Dayz only playable if people have arma 3. What's more handy then a game which you can sell twice :)

with the left alt pressed you can look around while keep running forward, sometimes the "free look around" gets "stuck" or you just double clicked the left alt key, or you pressed the * key on the num pad. I'm sure this is his problem.

Well the privat hive revolution has set of, so maybe rethink your strategy. Hackers will allways have ways fucking your game up. It is much better tho these days, less hackers then before, but like i said, the privat hives revolution is the solution for not encountering that many hackers. Good luck

Well this is not really to place. Best way of pleading for a server unban, is to contact the server administrator. Good luck. It seems that there are quite some frustrated server admins, so maybe this is one of them, just don't go to his server anymore. If it was an unfair ban, just fight for your rights.

As soon as you are ready to request your server information, just tell them you want to host all on a linux box, they will probably tell you all you want to know.

"Normally" there will be a linux dedicated server distribution. (probly just a linux executable for server start) If you are hosting a database you probably will find samples enough how to setup mysql on linux. But if there is an option to host game server on linux there must be a linux distibution pack at DayZ somewhere, i'm not a legit dayz hoster so i don't know if it exists.

Some server with AWA in the name, had a very nice game there yesterday, met some friendly's, had some firefights with some bandits, and another very positive thing was that when there was a hacker, he was banned in 2 minutes, he didn't have time to enjoy his spoils :) The only down thing on this server is that they have dissabled the food logic, so you dont need food on that server. Thats why tonight i'm going to try and find another privat hive, i like the concept of dayz, and food, in my opinion, is one of the most important thing in dayz.

then real server admin should have access to the server ban list, get the player id number and search true the list, remove it when found, resave file, restart server.

Oh and another thing i want to get of my chest. Suggestion for the Public hive, just Release an new patch, to get rid of all the heavy weapons, and repair the duping problem, fix the off map parking of stuff..........And then pick a day and time and whipe the whole fuck, spawn everybody without anything in the central place in cherno, have a party there, box the whole lott in for 24 hours with barbedwire, have disco lights, music and plenty of FULL wiskey bottles, food and drinks ( maybe also some hot cosplay girls, after 12 offcause, the whole nine yards. Again make everybody a well fed prisonor for 24 hours :) lol Good night.

Anyway, tonight we did have a hacker on the privat hive, but somebody saw it, the active admin checked it and "plop" he was BANNED, the whole episode took 2 minutes, and didn't hurt anybody, luckely :

The whole concept of these privat hives needas some time my friend, in a while the privat hives will get more servers with different setups of there Dayz connected to one DataBAse, so there will be also more server you can go to and still have your character. The ,what i understand is now legit, privat hives are there 3 or 4 days. Solving the hacker problem is only possible if people have to register as some sort of member to a privat hive hoster, some extra layer of security, so active server administrators can instately interact with the server and kick/ban an "unfair" player, the fair players get a new server password, so whenever the criminal try again to connect he not even get get in because of server password. ( if all new privats have to become passworded) Tonight i tryed a privat hive server, i really had fun, the only thing i didn't like of that server was the fact that they removed food, and food, in my opinion is just what is dayz is all about, so i will not go there anymore. Tomorrow i will try another privat hive and see what happens there. But again, i will never send anybody my GUID or any other sensitive cd or serial id's. I have no problem with some sort of member system, but i preffer just unpassworded privats for now :)

Bored, Game concept is perfect. Bugs like tent duping, overkill on weapons, big weapons. Suckers that relocate on other server and spawn behind you. Lag of fair players, bandit or "friendly" lag of realisme in terms of fortifications, means of hiding your stuff. Arma 3 will probably be a better option for realising this mod. Another "new" problem is the LIVE administrating of servers. Seems to be a new proffesion maybe really soon, maybe when servers will grow to 250 players problems like hacking will also be a bigger problem. Thats why i prefer privat hives and let the privat owners figure out ways of ruling there server. This will also again bring a new challenge, different setups of dayz, different updates with different new items and options added to the game. Pff, i love it, great game.

I really love the new revolution in this series of games. I would NOT send you my GUID... i mean you will get it anyway if you receive me on your server. I have no problem with you passwording your server, and i have to email communicate with you to get access. Not that i'm going to go "your" way of dayz yet anyway. Again i like the video, and i like the concepts and adjustment to the game :) Keep up the good work, and good luck.

Try NL47/FU2, It is a Mercenary mode server(more tough then veteran) Its GMT+2. If you join it, go into teamspeak and make yourself known, otherwise the people who live on that server will hunt you down and kill you. I think it is a perfect server, but they do use teamspeak, its not mandotory, but in the beginning it might be wise, they don't trust anybody (hacker wise i mean). I don't know if the people of that server are angry with me now, but i think some more people are welcome on the server, its really low populated now, maybe at max 7 or 8 people. I myself am playing there too, its one of the few servers i go to that have no hackers and no unfair players. ( probably will change now :) ) I hope the people that play there now will not be angry with me, because i know they like there server nice low populated too. DE.../EU11 might be a nice server too.

Don't worry, your character at the public hive will stay and wait for you to return :) That's the fun part of these privat hives on different islands(playfields), you can now have more then 1 character. Its fun those privat hive servers.

Its probably true, but addons alone is a very big pack, how do you send it to him :) I don't know but it might be that the DTA folder does contain personal installment information, be carefull not to give away your CD Key ! For the rest, it is not a problem for you to send him files, still i doubt he will get it to work, but who knows. We once had altered an official OFP game into an all working VBS1 simulator, so a lott is possible :)

I know you're frustration. It is total bullshit this game at the moment. I stopped playing on the public servers and have now my own little privat server, just to be able to play the game as it was ment to be played. I have been playing solo, i have been playing with clans, my biggest shock was to find out that the clan players are only playing to shoot noobs. They have there own low populated servers and on these servers they collect all good loot, have big camps and have all vehicles at there disposal. The stratagy then is to gear up on there own server, drive or fly to a populated spot and start hopping servers. I have tryed to like that idea, but i don't, so i just stopped playing the game at all public. I was really shocked to see advanced arma players getting a boner because of the killing of a noob without guns....... They also like to put themselfs on top of the international hotel with the chopper on there own server and then they hop to a populated server, again they will really get a hardon when killing another noob trying to figure out how the games work. All people that are a little smart play this way now, its bullshit, all of them have tents with 500 NVGoggles and L85 thermal guns. For me, its is done, i stopped playing the game, i do like the mod to fool around with in just arma. My advice, go to Berenzino, the bandits are not going there that much because not a lot of noobs can make the distance without any stuff. Bandit snipers are mostely in Cherno, Elektro, Stary area and NWAirport. These people are just assholes with no idea of having a good game, even these people are screaming HACKERS all the time, even when they are not beeing hacked, these people are one of the most ALT F4 fcks too, they also like to ghost behind there rivals(as if this is not hacking). I can understand your pain, i just gave up, i'm back in good old Arma, with decent players(who have the power of hacking but just dont do that because they are fair players).
