Nope. There's a bunch of Arma 2 weapons that aren't in this. Especially if you include the PMC and BAF addons which add a ton of weapons and items, such as IED's! :) Oh my how I would love to put an IED in the Aircraft control tower at NW Airfield and start fraps recording from the treeline!! also, I'm not sure how accurate this is since I didn't compile it and it may be a few versions of code old.

This has been posted before many times I believe. It details what kind of weapons spawn in what kind of buildings. Use SP editor to spawn in a find the buildings on the loot sheet then make your way there in DayZ to hopefully find what you're looking for. http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html

Zero477 is pretty much on the money here! More spawn points = greater chance of getting good loot. Deer stands are excellent too as they are less likely to be camped. There's a group of 3 near Stary Sobor and another group of 3 down south near Kamenka, you can do runs in between them all to get good loot without the necessary danger of towns. To force the loot to respawn, loot everything, move away from the deer stand then drop the loot, go do the next one and the next one then return and you should find the loot has respawned for you. I have found the best approach to NE Airfield is from the hill on the NE side of it. With binoculars you can scout the entire airfield and if you're in a group leave 1 or 2 people up on the hill to provide cover for the people going in to loot. Make sure you have plenty of slots free in your backpack if you do go in and as always keep an epi-pen in your backpack so if you get knocked down your friend can loot it from your pack and revive you. Same goes for blood bags and other medical items. We have stopped carrying as many on our person so we can carry more smoke grenades and ammunition since we found the above tactic to work pretty well. You have to be quick with the inventory though! Deer stand locations: http://dayzfans.com/wp-content/images/deerstand.jpg Hope this helps! happy hunting!

Use Xsplit to broadcast. happy to help you with set up if you want!
-
Put me in a huge world with a gun and pretty much no consequences to murdering everyone I come across and you can pretty much forget about me sharing my beans with you :)
-
Broadcast first! Then people come to watch, that's how it works ;) Also, Twitch.tv is way better, you should probably use that and it's also more likely to get you more followers I would imagine.

Aim low, fire slow. Don't shoot outside of about a 10m range. That's the key to success for a makarov.

Zombie limits currently exist, they just increased with latest patch. Zombies spawning in is how the servers can handle the load otherwise if every town was populated and zombies controlled by the server this game would never work. Blood on your hands / bandit recognition was discussed and Rocket said he's removing it because it's a bit of a nightmare at present, he said the humanity system is something DayZ deserves but doesn't need right now. Locked houses are a limitation of Arma 2. Some of them are just static props, you can never get in because the inside does not exist. Sometimes servers don't seem to spawn much loot, maybe it's just chance? I'm not 100% sure. Military items are in military building (Stary Sobor camp, NW/NE/Balota Airfield) and fire station houses in all major towns. Coyote backpack has 24 slots! That's enough for another primary weapon 4 mags and another 10 items!! Quite a lot if you ask me. Yeah, zombies bug out sometimes, it is an alpha!! :D I have never found one myself but satchel charges do exist!! I have seen plenty of grenades and smoke grenades though. Hit up the military loot buildings! Hope some of the above helps answer a few questions for ya!!

I think Rocket should take down all the servers for 24 hours so the people who never played Arma / Arma 2 can go learn the controls ;)

Will next patch fix zeds attacking through walls?
gloopy replied to guitarxe's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Having zombies do crazy stunts like teleport and attack through walls just adds to the fear! pro-tip always carry a smoke grenades. It's like a pipe bomb in Left 4 Dead, it's your DayZ Get out of jail free card and it works every time. On the subject of a different engine. I simply don't know what other engine you could put it on and why would you want to? It's an Arma 2 mod and in my opinion it should stay that way. -
Hahahaha, very good!

Game Design Analysis: Why Cross-Server persistency must die
gloopy replied to Tartantyco's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think you should be tied to a specific server. Maybe not for alpha since it's enjoyable to be able to play on different servers especially if you are a big group and one server is full. However, being tied to one server would be excellent for gameplay. -
So what happened to those Field hospitals?
gloopy replied to Legacy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
There was one by the Factories in Chernarus last weekend. Not sure if still there. It was East of the giant building you can climb. -
Hey fellow zombie slayers. My suggestion is simple. There should be horses you can ride around. They would just roam around and when you approach there would be a random chance it would run away (in which case you can shoot/gut/eat it) but there would be a chance you could mount it and ride it around! Quick search of armaholic suggests it wouldn't be impossible to implement! http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10419&highlight=HORSE Thoughts?

will the loot (in the barracks) respawn if you stay near it?
gloopy replied to belgarionnl's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
from the sqf.... if (player distance _iPos > 5) then ..... So get more than 5 meters away and loot should spawn. On a similar note it appears zombies can spawn inside buildings you occupy as long as you are a certain distance away. -
The New Zombie Count is AWESOME
gloopy replied to WildGunsTomcat's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Just wanted to add my thoughts to this. New zombie count is super amazing! We just raided NW airfield in the dead of night and there were absolutely shit loads of zombies. My M9SD really helped out and there were no snipers with NVG's (maybe due to extra zombie count or just luck I'm not sure)! Keep it as it is!! -
DayZ 'Z turkey shoot' in ARMA II Mission Editor
gloopy replied to CalUKGR's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
Not sure how happy devs would be about this being posted here but I guess anyone with the knowledge can do it already so it doesn't really matter. If not, please delete but don't ban me ;) You need to get a tool called CPBO and unpack the dayz_code PBO file. in there you will find all the SQF scripts. You can then execute scripts manually using the execVM command, or put them into your init.sqf script for your mission. Remember much of the DayZ stuff is server side and very complicated but it should give you an idea. Also. Any scripts that call functions require a functions module in your mission. to get you started the script that causes zombies to attack players is in the compile folder and it's called player_zombieAttack.sqf. Remember any variables used in this script will then need to be included in your mission. -
DayZ 'Z turkey shoot' in ARMA II Mission Editor
gloopy replied to CalUKGR's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
You'll need to include the SQF scripts to get them to attack you I believe. There are several scripts that handle the Zombies loitering, target acquisition attacking etc etc. I've been messing around making a Zombie Co-Op mission but it's not done yet. -
This is pretty out there as a suggestion but I think it warrants at least peoples opinions on it being given. There should be at least 1 DMZ or safe-zone in Chernarus inside which you cannot fire weapons or throw grenades or take any hostile action. Quite a simple suggestion but I think it might create a more communal atmosphere in the game as well as give people a safe place to hang out and wait for their friends before going off looting or killing. Perhaps there could even be AI guards? Totally understand that the above will not appeal to many players and it's rife with problems such as players camping the entrances and exits and people shooting into the DMZ. Thoughts?

Easy way to link up with your friends. When you spawn in make a note of the town name (e.g Otmel, Solinichy). Find out where you all are. Run to the sea and turn left or right accordingly. (e.g left with send you East and eventually north, right will send you south or west. Keep running until you find your friends. Or get a UAZ then you can go pick people up when they spawn in! :p
-
I disagree with OP. You should have to find everything. I wouldn't even be against starting without a weapon but it would cause absolute havoc for people camping the shores and PKing. At least if you have a makarov you have some chance to defend yourself.

smoke grenades. use them!
-
Chernarus is full of empty barns!! All the horses ran into the wild! :D
-
Lovely idea! As you say it's not possible (or easy) with Arma 2 but it's something that should definitely be considered!
