Zombies needs nerf, they're running. My picture of a zombie: Limping, absent-minded, tormented. A corpse filled with anguish and rage. As most zombie-films and series, zombies only really die from a headshot. Their bodies do not function like normal, nor does their brain. They only have the primitive instincts of survival left. Since they're "dead", the body of a zombie starts to decay slowly. This does not grant them additional strength nor agility, only weakness. On the "development-side" of this (not in-game), buggy zombie paths will be something that belongs to the past. How to balance this? INFECTIONS. More, a WHOLE lot more infections need to be generated. During a month and a half of game-time, ONE of my friends have been infected/sick/diseased. Only once. Uhm, I have no record of that reply. I shouldn't be around the forums when my brain still belongs to the bed. But yeah, items located in your backpack/pouches should not fall out, since zippers are rather common and not hard to come by nor to administrate. -

So that people that have been playing on other servers with military weapons will be able to kill people without military weapons. Ah, yeah, I get your point. High-end military weapons are not "waay to common", you only find them at crash sites and by the barracks. Retrieving the loot from these areas sucks big time.

I remember the first time I played at night. Almost started crying when the music slowly went from "a day in the forest" to "the shadows of the underworld" when I was running around with a red chemlight in my hand. Screw amnesia, this game makes my heart jump hundreds of times more frequently. -

Getting disconnected from servers = Ban Internet crashing? = Ban Alt+F4 = Ban You see, Alt+F4 exterminates the active process. There's no "30 sec timer plz wait for process to take its time", since it's not ArmA that kills its own process, it's your operating system. In other words, nothing can be done about Alt+F4'ing without punishing people with bad internet/hardware/etc. -

Well, adjustable zeroing is a benefit, you do not simply "fire away" without it, more probably with it. ;) -

*facepalm* All weapons with scopes have zeroing. The DMR is zeroed at 400m, meaning that if your target is exactly 400m away from you, he will be in the middle of your crosshair when scoped in. Also, DMR's are common in the millitary due to the possibilty of CQC while still being able to take out targets from far away. -

They are a little like Sean Connery: suave and sexy in movies, but pretty unimpressive in real life (also very old and hairy). Basically, what the defib machines can do is help a patient regain a regular heart rythm when they go into cardiac arrest, which it does by stopping their heart. Hopefully, it restarts with a normal rhythm. If the patient is already flat-lining, meaning their heart has already stopped beating, using the defibrillator to stop it some more will do about as much good as removing a malignant brain tumor with a shotgun blast. Imagine your heart is a dude carrying a few heavy boxes, which in this metaphor contain your organs. If he drops them, you die. When you have a heart attack this imaginary man loses his balance and starts swaying dangerously. A defibrillator is the guy that runs over and helps your heart stand up straight, effectively saving your life. What the defibrillator won't do is gather your heart up off the ground if it has already fallen and dropped its boxes, because quite frankly he's late for work as it is." Should clear things up.

The New Starting Conditions - Too Hard?

Too hard? It's waay to easy. In five hours, I've aquired an M107, M4A3 CCO and an ALICE pack, all tools req. for navigating and scavenging what remains of Chernarus. I have 7 respective 6 mags for my weapons, and I'm using a revolver as a secondary weapon. The only thing missing is a pair of NVG's and a ghillie-suit. Just stop messing around in cherno and elektro. Get your ass to gas stations, farms and high-value residential buildings. Make a stop at Balota airstrip/Cherno millitary tents and you're good to make your way up to the north, either Berezino or Stary Sobor, lastly NWAF/Heli Crash sites. ??? Snipe people in Cherno, throw chemlights on their corpses, enjoy the show. -
Suggestion: blood regen and self blood transfusions

The regen thing is actually a tad realistic; "In normal situations, your body has its ability to manufacture blood cells comprising the whole blood (red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets) mostly in the bone marrow especially of the vertebrae , ribs, pelvis, skull, breastbone. Each red blood cell has a life span of about 4 months. Each day, the body produces new red blood cells to replace those that die or are lost from the body. White blood cells life spans vary from a few days to months. New cells are constantly being formed in the bone marrow especially if there is infection production is ncreased. Platelets survive only about 9 days in the bloodstream and are constantly being replaced by new cells.In unusual situations where there is severe blood loss, your body is unable to make rapid blood production to replace it that is why blood transfusions are given. In non dangerous situations, the body is given time to replace the blood lost. Good nutrition and iron supplements are important to help the body to cope up with blood production." When you keep food and water a bit above critical levels for a while (before it reaches the "blinking state"), you should start to slowly regenerate blood. -

Hey you guys! Lately I've lost some neat gear due to people using ALT+F4 the second they get hurt. This pisses me off, and I now request that if you BLEED when you log out, you will loose blood when not in the game. You dig? I mean, if the thirst and hunger system worked* when your character is offline, why wouldn't blood? They're all debug values. So, if you log out bleeding, decide to log in a few hours later, you're dead. This enforces players not to logout to get out of PvP battle, or when they're being chased by zombies. Since bleeding is a pretty serious and "impossible-to-miss"-condition, I don't see why this would not be implemented if it is possible to do so. Kind regards, Tiaitchsi. *EDIT

Sorry, fixed that for you (works => worked). Why would it not? I don't know if you were playing by 1.7.1.3, but that was the hotfix that removed the loss of thirst and hunger while your character were offline. Therefore, blood could also be lost. I must agree with you on this point. It's close to impossible not to notice the fountain of blood squirtling from your neck. So, if you log out while bleeding, it's either: 1) Loss of Courage and Honor, leaving the server the second someone fires a weapon. 2) Loss of bandages, leaving the server and calls in a care-package from their friend 5km away. 3) Loss of bullets, I mean, who can be arsed to stealth through the cities? Screw that, run to where you want to get and relog.

You can't keep a client on the server if.. the client no longer is on the server. Just doesn't work that way when the character itself are saved on the PC.
