  1. YES. Of course. IRL you can sense that. 10 seconds near anyone, you have a perception of him. Gestures, eyes, voice tone, there are plenty of signs IRL that you DO NOT EVER have in a game. Definetly yes.
  2. Expanding on your quotes: Post apocalypse, you're hungry, desperate for food and water. You see another person, and you know that there ARE bandits out in the world that WILL kill you... and you should look to band together and have double the chance of survival, find more survivors, go hunt together, protect yourselves. It's been like that since de beggining of times. Humans join groups and socialize to gather strenght and overcome dangers, enemies, and hunger. Do you take your chances and ask if he's friendly, and give him a chance to abruptly end your life, or do you just shoot him before he has any chance of shooting you? Well, doing that in real life is a good way of diying real fast as soon as you find a group of organised, civilized, intelligent people that dislike crazy paranoid murderers. That's what it comes down to ...in a game in which you respawn as soon as you die..., and that's exactly how it is in the game. Yes, you're right, that's how it is in the game. That one is true.

    Lots of Potential, but ...

You've misunderstood my point. I don't want realism in a zombie mod. I just want to get rid of people that don't value their ingame-lives, that play the game using their ass rather than their brains. If nothing is done in this regard, this is gonna end up with a new name: Deathmatch with Zombies.

The problem with bandits and people shooting everybody on sight, is that you can, in fact, respawn. If we were in a REAL zombie apocalypse where diying was forever, I assure you most people would never shoot another living person. I would like some mechanism in the game to reflect on that, it's not real as it is. It's just a game, and if this does not change, it would never grow as more than a game. Ideas welcome :D
