For a cheap gaming machine you should take a desktop. Maybe you can build one up for around €500. If you want the same performance on Notebook i think you have to spend min. the double.

If you approach a Deer stand or another building to fast there was no time for the loot to spawn. Go away at minimum 30m better 40m and let some Z spawn, 1 or 2 waves then check again (5-10 minutes).

Atm i prefer my MK48, but some of my buddies use the M4A1 or M4A3 and they like it. If i had to respawn i look first for the Winchester, i like that gun a lot! After that lets see what comes next. Some most liked guns are i think the L85 or FN Fal with nightvision, followed by the .50 sniper

I would stick to your actual guns, but its just my favorit.

It is an individual setting. But you can be sure it is disabled on the most veteran/expert server. It is also disabled on the most regular server but its not guaranteed. If you want to check scroll your mousewheel if you see a distance show up its enabled.

The hatchet and the lee are both mainweapons. You can switch them only if you put the Lee on the ground or in your backpack, if you have enough slots free (10+ammo)

Use the Mousewheel. The flares show up in the upper right corner if you press F and have some in your inventory. You can fire them up with a left-click.

If it makes it standalone i would like to see something like Manhatten as a capital city, access via underground, bridge and boats an so on.

In Steam you should replace the original arma2oa.exe with the one in the beta folder. At details you can see the version number! Make a backup copy ;)

Play some Arma tutorial to get the basics.

Maybe it would be a first step to get the connect and disconnect message global. At this point you can maybe see if someone reconnect after he ALT-F4 out of the game.
