So you want to stop people changing the time, but allow you to join a server that allows you the cover of night irrespective of what time it is where you are? It's all about you isn't it? -

Bikes are ace. Watching my mate peddled round the north east airfield whilst a sniper took shots at him (he combat logged in the end) had us in fits.

Cool story mate. We had a very similar experience in Berezino after the patch. The aggro range of the zombies seems to have increased slightly when crawling, one of our brethren pulled a zombie just outside the apartment blocks opposite the supermarket. We all dashed inside and dispatched the zombie with a Lee Enfield. Fook me. Every single zombie from an unknown radius descended on our apartment blocks. I ended up using 1 1/2 mags of M249 ammo. You couldn't see the stairs for the amount of dead zeds on it. All good stuff. -

Why are you angry with the people here? No one forced you to inject scripts into the game. :rolleyes: -
Going for a pinned topic here - but may not get one. Please do not create another topic about alt+f4. Alt+f4 is a system shortcut, the DayZ developers cannot write code that changes these shortcuts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_keyboard_shortcuts#Window_management Any action taken against people who alt-f4 in combat (commonly known as "combat logging" would have to come from trend monitoring and reciprocal action. Thanks.

I wonder how many people would play a bandit style if there were no sniper rifles? The background story to this is a session on UK 119 last night. My friend (Kenny) and I were skirting round Berezino in an attempt to get to the military tents on the west of the town. We're a pretty careful bunch and we spent some considerable time scouting round the woods to the north and south west of the town. We positioned ourselves in the bushes to the north west of the tents and spent 5 minutes looking through binoculars scouting the buildings, walls and hedgerows and saw nothing. We started to move slowly down the hill towards Berezino, checking as we went. Crack Kenny's hit and down. Hit the deck scout and scout as much as possible looking for the sniper until another shot finished Kenny of and the crack of the bullets start whizzing past my ears. Can't find the sniper and it is becoming too dangerous to stay put. Break cover and run back up the hills towards the forest with bullets slapping at the dirt by my feet. Zig zagging all the way I make it to relative safety. Eat, drink and move down to the south to meet up with another friend. Essentially we never saw who hit us. You could say he's playing the game well, but I don't feel it's really PvP with guys being able to take people out from great distances, relatively safe from small arms, machine gun & assault rifle fire. I know games have struggled to balance snipers over the years. BF in particular - removing prone then introducing a glare from the lens in BF3. I now turn the table over to you guys to mock and tell me to stop moaning. Thank you.

You know it's really bad form coming into someone else's forum, specifically a game which you have blatantly ripped off, to tout said game. Reminds me of recruiting on clans servers - shame we can't kick you from the forums.

I'd hardly call it a punishment, also it's much easier to sport someone hosing you with an assault rifle from 60-100 metres than it is when you hear the crack of a shot from 1000 yards and have no clue. That's the imbalance. -

Thanks for proving my point for me - yes I've been playing FPS & military sims for a long time, yes I think the balance of snipers has been out of kilter for a long time. -
