I fundamentally disagree with you. It shouldn't take drastic action such as shutting down loads of servers - it should be as simple as trust. As stated in the previous post - we're talking local bans, the players can go and play elsewhere. This is a storm in a tea cup and players are getting far more air time than the subject really warrants. Like some bloody smug kid who manages to blame someone else for their bad behaviour. Ridiculous.

You know it's funny watching everyone jump on here and spout the "you can't ban line" from the server rules. Server admins have been hosting servers for years - more years for me than I care to remember. On any other game the person kicked off for WHATEVER reason would have nowhere to go. Generally they would come to our forums and bleat about it. Sometimes the ban was lifted, sometimes it wasn't - depending on the persons attitude and what the kick/ban was for. I have no idea what rights the people coming here to moan about being kicked or banned think they have? Aside from some poorly written rules that are vastly out of date. We pay for the servers, no one else - you can talk about blacklisting servers (in our case it's a dedi so we'd install something else and move on) but the devs need the servers as much as the server admins want to host the mod. In that respect there needs to be a degree of trust from the devs that the server admins can do a good job and do it fairly. Lets remember, amongst all this rage that these are not global bans we're talking about here - the player can just piss off and join another server.

Props to Sye73 for staying with this dogs dinner. I think this just shows the poor state us admins are left in with these piss-poor rules that the mod developers have brought down from Mount Sinai. It's all very well @BlindingSun to spout the rules verbatim from the relevant post but does he sit there in an evening answering DM's, emails, PM's etc from players reporting hackers on the servers? If this were any other game you would simply log into RCON and ban the twat there and then and there would be no more said about it, no nooo because BE is about as useful as a fecking chocolate teapot and the dev's have this bizarre fucking rule of not banning anyone, irrespective of the evidence you have of them hacking - the place is a free reign for the tosspots to keep coming back. I know what I'm doing about it and it ain't sitting on my thumbs.

I can tell you're angry because you used a red font. Red is the colour of angry people, you further punctuated your anger by inter-splicing capital letters for some of the words. This must mean you're really angry and not just suffering from faux rage. In response to your last image - global bans are handled by BattlEye, not the DayZ dev team. Good luck with that and remember when contacting them - use red text and make it CAPS!

Server has been restarted again with those players that I could pick up from the logs, banned.

It would be if my internet connection hadn't just gone pear-shaped in work. I've grabbed the log-file and restarted. There's not really a fat lot we're supposed to do as admins - but I'll check the log-file and if it continues send me a PM and I'll ban any scripts I find in there.

Really? The only stuff I get from deer stands is bandages, some ammo, chem lights, epi-pens and empty tin cans.

I don't like to beg, I will simply say this. Choose an anti-cheat that allows admin tools. Congrats by the way!
