Well you don't get to make that decision - to be honest everyone I ban has a cheat entry in the log files, I have yet to find someone griefing on our servers, being racist or upsetting the game in any other fashion, but irrespective if I did, they would be banned. They can type what they want here, they don't pay for my servers. Name me one other game where the game producers have a forum where people can come and cry they've been banned? Only here we have this ridiculous sense of entitlement .

From my opinion your leaving the DayZ AdminZ forum went like this: A member posted a topic about some log file lines and asked whether they were cheats and could ban for them The first person to post on said topic said they were cheat lines and said the OP should ban Before any other replies were added you jumped on the topic, called the OP an abusive admin and that they "should have their server blacklisted" It was pointed out to you, in a PM, that the forums were for people to discuss the log lines and sometimes people will post things and be wrong or take an action which you may not agree with Other members then posted on the original topic that the log lines were OK and not to ban for them Unfortunately the topic has already derailed, I have to say, due to your attitude in the response in the post you put up Another PM to you stated that it is OK to disagree, but be respectful, calling for admins servers to be blacklisted was out of order You then sent a PM prior to that one having a chance to be sent asking for you to be removed from the forum Lets get some facts straight, the DayZ AdminZ was set-up to help admins, not top down, but in a peer to peer scenario. Yes 3 people have 'administrator' status on the boards, but that is the same as any forums, someone has to take responsibility for administering the forums. We don't promote the prolific banning of players, we promote the discussion of log file entries and the creation of checks for the scripts text files. It's particularly poor that you accuse of this, when the overriding opinion of several topics concerning log files has been "I don't know" and we have attempted to engage with someone like Dwarden to help clarify the situation. The posting of bans on this forum is a waste of time. This is why we don't state this as a requirement of AdminZ rules, admins are free to send their bans to the Community Ban List (CBL) however the AdminZ ban list is up in the air as we don't have an effective tool for compiling and verification of bans at the moment. Now to address some of the replies you've had to the post. @Greg-UK4 If someone is being unprofessional then you should flag it to a moderator or admin, but let me say this, we're not children and this is a private forum - it was set-up with the express purpose of allowing admins to discuss cheaters and bans away from the mob mentality that exists here. @peperonikiller I'm confused about the issue of respect, aside from the OP of this topic throwing accusations of admins banning at a whim, point out to me on the AdminZ forums where someone isn't showing respect. Now I'm talking on our forums, if you're referring to this topic here then Stalker is pointing out something that occurs here and verifies why we set-up the forums. You cannot discuss admin issues here. Every man and his dog jumps on the topic with emotive language like "abusive admins" etc, DayZ seems to be unique in this position, I can't think of any other game where you have servers rented by private individuals where you can get away with such abuse of the server admin. Every other server instance to a man you'd just be banned and not have any come back whatsoever, and that's for things as trivial as not respecting admins etc... We all know DayZ are struggling with the popularity of the mod, which is a good thing, however we will not stand around whilst cheaters run rampant on our servers. This is the whole ethos under which DayZ AdminZ was launched. It is not to allow the banning of innocent players, it is allow admins to decide on the best way to run their servers, with the non-existent help that comes from DayZ staff. Running a community is hard. You have a soup of different personalities and not everyone will agree with what you say. That doesn't mean to say you should throw your toys out of the pram and spout untruths in another public forum. Now I'm prepared to leave it at that, but if you continue your rhetoric and build on the lies you have printed here, I will copy the PM's that you sent and the forum posts you made, so people can make up their own minds. Very poor show all round.

Nothing to be honest about, the concerns about the CBL were all raised by admins questioning the veracity of the CBL bans, its never been bad mouthed at all. Admins post here, then they get lambasted by people on this forum for being dishonest, over zealous or other things - we just point out there is a private place to discuss/get advice, without all the dick heads.

A private forum for Admins to exchange information, that is all it is, with ideas submitted from other members for improvement. Not really sure why you've got a bee in your bonnet about it. Unless, in general, you're just a bit of an antagonistic knob?

The CBL has come in for criticism due to the veracity of bans not being confirmed, the AdminZ group was born out of that misgiving and the lack of facilities and misinformation that permeates this forum. Jens helps run the AdminZ group, he also does the CBL, you sound like you don't know what you're talking about, hopefully I've set you straight.

I guess the answer is to test it. How effective do we think the BE bypass really is? I say this because I see more and more kicks for BE client not responding.
