    Other MMO's tend to have their own in-game security. Other MMO's also have huge teams of people working on the project. When we go stand alone it will be interesting to see what rocket has decided to implement in terms of anti-cheat. But until then, Admins will continue having very little power because it is so easy to abuse it.

    I lol'd so hard at the ignorance in this thread. Arma 2 is clearly released. Its a fantastic modding platform. DayZ, the mod itself also goes through development cycles, and is still in Alpha, the testing stage. You didn't "have to" spend $30. No one forced you to do it. You should have known what you were getting into before you just dropped 30 for a mod in alpha. You should try Arma 2, it's a very good game.

    We ran into hackers on ANZ 1 multiple times last night. We shot a guy with an AS50, twice, and he didn't die. He was teleporting around with a silenced weapon killing everyone. What a tough guy.

    It will be under control, eventually. You can never completely stop hackers, but you can do your dam best to stop the script kiddies. Those are the ones ruining the games, not the Hackers themselves. They just write the stuff, people decide what they want to do with it.

    I added a bit, i'm tired so I don't even remember what I wrote. I'll have to tidy it up at a later date, but I think it will suffice for now. Also, I don't think I added it, but, I believe (massive assumption here) that the only time you have any data from DayZ on your PC is when you are in game.

    I actually despise the person who thought of this, let alone released it to the public. Hackers aren't normally out to grief other people directly, it's the script kiddies who do that. But this is just there to ruin everyone's day.
