Bump. Don't think i'm going to update this any further, I simply have lost interest in this game - And the forums, as most people seem to have an extra chromosome.

Hackers? No, nononono, I'm afraid you are dead wrong. These are the child products of years and years of sheltering from their parents. They are bred into impatience and entitlement, which leads them to scripting. Also - 99.99% of people aren't smart enough to "hack" Arma 2, don't lump that .01% with all the other faggots. Kthx.

The more intelligent members of the community have been driven off by the constant retardation of some of the newer/troll members. I don't see any of the familiar smarty pants here much, if at all anymore. I don't post either, I barely even lurk. I suppose it was disheartening when my hacker topic got passed over for a sticky, and the mods put that other whiners post up there, but meh. This community gets old pretty fast. Edit - Not to mention how slow the site is now. And this annoying proxy error 502.

I don't play anymore. Except to test scripts cos I'm a 1337 haxxx0r. But srs, Dead Island is where it's at.

Pretty sure they just sign up for a private hack, pay the $19 or whatever and reverse it each time it updates, basically crippling that hack. They need to focus on the widespread hacks, not the private ones written and used by a few.

And you example can be applied to anything. Google BF3 hacks. - one has been around since the games release and still isn't patched. MW3 hacks. CS:S hacks. Etc. No anti-cheat is infallible. You just notice it a lot more on DayZ because it affects a core aspect of the game - Gear. You die on BF3 from a hacker, you respawn and join another server.

I do visit those sites. Well I used to when I actually cared. The public releases get detected and patched almost instantly. Private releases are far more tricky, as those people are paid to create the hack. Regardless of how many hackers are fucking the game up, Battleye is doing its job - One they are also paid to do. And all they can do is react. You can't preempt what the hackers are going to do. All you can do is react to what they release and patch it as quickly as possible. If the standalone has VAC as well, and ONLY sold through Steam, you'll see a hell of a lot less hackers. But that's still ages away.

Also go to Cheat Reporting and read SuspenseLol's thread. I don't think it's been updated recently, but it shows how effective Battleye is against public releases. Private hacks though are in every game, all the time.
