It's alpha. Wait for 1.7.2.1, it's much better from what I've heard. Calm down, you're proving nothing to nobody by acting tough on these forums. And for your information, the AKM is extremely good. -
Where exactly does the map end?

http://dayzmap.info/ doesn't show the whole map, there's quite a bit more than it shows. You'll notice when you're at the end of the map, the landscape will be lacking flora and it will seem all deserted and copy-pasted in terms of graphics. You'll spot it. If you're thinking of putting a camp outside the map, I'd advise you not to (not implying you are, but still) Wipes are made every now and then outside the map, meaning tents and vehicles outside map border will get removed. -
Seems like this is your first post as well, a bit of a hypocrite, no? Anyhow, I doubt this will go anywhere without concrete evidence, sorry. Always have fraps by your side, especially in times like these when the server-hosts known no better. Good luck.

Both. There's tonnes of them up north, especially around the north-west airfield area. You can try your luck north of Chernogorsk as well, there's a few cow spawns there. I don't think anyone can pin-point the exact locations of animal spawns, but they're pretty much around everywhere. I tend to find cows, goats, bulls etcetera more commonly in fields rather than in the woods. Pigs, however, I find in the woods. A bit weird, but that's how it is for me at least. Happy... animal hunting.

Have you tested this in 1.7.2.1? As far as I know, they had to revert some updates due to the loading bug, so the ammo tracking/syncing update might not be implemented in 1.7.2, but rather 1.7.2.1. -
Yes, at least from what I've noticed. Unsure if it's still happening as of 1.7.2.1, but wouldn't risk it. Cheers.

I support this kind of mindset. People need to realize this is a zombie apocalypse. If you're going to stand in my way in the midst of chaos and havoc, I'll damn sure put a bullet in your head. Trust nobody. -
It grinds my gear as well, heck, it probably grinds everyone's gear. If you use the search function you'd probably notice about hundreds of identical threads, you might want to check them out. Rocket has promised to patch this out in the future and all we can do is pray and wait, hoping this becomes a priority on his list (albeit the performance issues are a bigger problem, at least for me) We'll manage for now, no doubt about it, but when they implement some sort of anti-disconnect system, it will change the game, believe me.

Duly noted. I'm not surprised, a lot of admins got this kind of behavior. Anarchy, I tell you -- they think they're free to do whatever they want simply because they host the server. Rocket needs to be more thorough with them and make them sharpen up.

I haven't been able to get my hands on the 1.7.2 add-on so I can't really speak as of this update except the fact that the visual detection seems a tad off. We'll manage, but just curious whether it's working as intended or if it's a glitch like crouch audibility bug we experienced a few patches back. Glad to see that the developer team is on-top of bugs and whatnot. -
Build 1.7.2 Rolling Update

It was released, but it was soon after reverted so I'm guessing those minor updates (read: bear-traps etcetera) got left out for the time being. Try SE 3 with the 1.7.2 test add-on installed, they're just cloud-testing it for now to make sure everything is running appropriately and us, alpha testers, can test it out with them. You won't find the updates (bear-traps, fps performance fixes) in any servers except CZ 1/2(?) and SE 3, until they release a hot fix. Happy hunting.
