If placed under a tree, you'll be unable to interact with it, yes. If you manage to get the scroll option up, be advised that it will 99% of the time eat your items up due to its location. Best thing to do is pack it up if you manage to get the option and place it a bit away from the tree(s)

It can be locked down for security reasons and or because of maintenance with host/if HIVE is unresponsive and is wearing out. ;)

It's so oh so easy to find a weapon. You just got to have some common sense, that's all. Within twenty minutes, I've got myself either a primary weapon or a side-gun. I once found a fresh MP5SD with two magazines just after two minutes of spawning on the coast (read: real loot spawn) Use an external map if you feel like cheating a bit, and check out the loot spawns scattered across the map.

It's not about corrupt character files. Equipping a Ghillie has a chance of despawning your items and the L85 thermal weapon was removed from the game (or bugged, unsure but everyone lost their thermal weapon)

Absolutely. Limit the amount of times you can respawn in an hour. Respawning constantly also wears out the HIVE server if I recall correctly and it's highly disliked by rocket&co.

People are constantly nagging about starting weapons, mainly new players. Come on. It's so easy to find a weapon, so so easy. Why make the game more easier? I understand this game has a huge audience, but this game is simply not for everybody, so if your mindset is to make this game more simplified and easier, it's not for you. It's a zombie apocalypse, you're fighting for your life in the midst of havoc and chaos. What's missing is somebody suggesting barrack spawns near the coast. :P

You should contact the server host, and if all else fails, submit a complaint against their server and if lucky it'll get blacklisted. Perhaps they have a reason behind this lock? As I said, best thing to do is contact the server host and ask for an explanation.

I love the new forums, but yes, implementing the possibility of changing forum themes would be nice. I don't mind this one though, works fine for me.

Unless you've got concrete proof that the clan is behind these hacker attacks, keep your childish accusations to yourself, please. Playing with someones reputation, or in worst case scenario tarnishing it simply because you assume, isn't the way to go. Why do everybody jump to conclusions and everything that goes wrong is on the admin hosting the server? You do realize people hack -- not hosts, but actual hackers that come into your server.

I've got a lot to loose but I don't mind. A wipe would be unnecessary unless rocket fixes the dupe issues going on beforehand. If we do a server-wipe right now, we'd end up in the same position we're currently in after a while due to dupers. Don't worry though, server-wipes will be made when game goes into beta and then when it goes into full release.

I agree. It seems like everyone is a seasoned soldier when they got their hands on M4A1, Heavy Machine Guns, 50 Cal., snipers in bunches. It doesn't fit the atmosphere and it kind of ruins the whole "surival horror zombie apocalypse" theme setting rocket intentionally designed this game for. Night-vision goggles are just annoying. They're in mass quantities due to stupid dupers, which also ruins the atmosphere for me seeing how everyone is so incredibly stashed up with high-tier weapons. More use of flashlights, flares, chem-lights etcetera.

I liked some of your ideas, but some are blatantly stupid and reminds me of CSI and forensics. I do like the footprints idea and trails of blood when bleeding.

What exactly are we trying to discuss? Yes, I lost all my equipment, but it's an alpha so I really couldn't care less. More fun trying to equip a fresh character than running around with the best weapons doing jack-shit but camp cities and kill people, but that's just my two cents.

Download the 1.7.2.1 test add-on and join SE 3. See if it works better for you -- if it does, it's a problem with 1.7.2.
