but then at the same time - if its so complex, as a clan would you fix it up, only to log off 4 hours later and have someone else a- steal it b- destroy it c- wait for you to come back in and shoot you don't get me wrong i think its a brilliant idea, but in my mind it would be that complex to do, and that rewarding, that you would need some protection guarantees if it was you that owned it - even if it was only for 1 or 2 days

well yeh i agree with that - the issue is though that with server hopping freedom at the moment there isn't any reason to fight over industry, just find a server where the one you want isn't being defending at that moment its like the risk of tents but at least you can hide a tent, where as the industry is on the map

the only way bandits should be detered is environment. triple the amount of zeds and any bandit is going to think twice about whether its really necersarry to shoot you. on the other hand your life is gonna be made harder too. good. why should you be given a free ride to prance around picking up loot all safe and sound anyway -
i don't see an issue with people avoiding hospitals. surviving in the wild is harder and there is a definite advantage of having bloodpacks etc so i agree splits would be a good idea, people have survived on the land for thousands of years

what about using war times - i know it doesnt completely fit in within the ultra realistic do what you like style but if in future they give the ability to make groups etc within game - then you could have siege times within each server (say 8pm in game time on a saturday) multiple groups can fight it out and the winner takes control of the utilities for a week and then have to defend it the next time Perhaps owning certain industries allow you to make fortification - you're safe until the enemy breaks through the walls

i like the idea but id make it much simpler. be able to tie up a player when hes unconcious or surrendered yes but thats it. i'd also make it so you cannot retie the enemy up unless they are still unconcious and make any bleeding stop while a person is tied up

that kind of reminds me of legend of mir - when you were killed you had a random chance of dropping things on the floor - it could be somthing trivial or it could be your best weapon but in that game if you were a PKer (bandit) you would go red for a certain amount of time, while you were red if you were killed you would drop everything you had -
not only that it has an awesome downside of pinpointing exactly where a gunman should shoot, love this game its all risk v reward

make crowbars/hatchets a secondary weapon make ammo drop in single bullets and your gun spawn with an empty magazine -
Like in Alien. there are sacks or somthing hanging from the ceiling. you have to be really quiet and not bump into one, get to the gun and get out. if one spawns they all start spawning and then you are stuck in a building with them. finally zombies would be a scary prospect. its all good when you can room enough to shoot them but what do you do if they spawn all around you (alt f4 i know)..but what if they one day managed to fix that. this could be cool

okok forget the babies bit, the main point was having the zombies spawn once an item is picked up or a central room entered. meaning that people could not simply shoot from distance or avoid completely

increase kills on sight with an axe though not a gun. i'd prefer that to hidden snipers -
how about getting rewarded for reaching milestones, extremely difficult milestones forrrrr example, kill 5000 zombies and recieve 1.2x running speed forever moree. almost impossible tasks that people who are geared to fuck can try to do reward was made up in my head. change it if you like

growing your own food sources is where the game needs to go!! how can you rebuild in a post apololyptic world if all you can scavenge for are beans afterall.

+1 this whole idea, the issues with tanks and food can both be solved by rarity/complexity tanks - very few on map - makes LOADS of noise - not very manouverable - has a basic lmg turret but the cannon ammunition has to be made from scratch requiring for instance 2x scrap metal, 30 slug shots for gun powder, and some other stuff thats even rarer, making the idea of using the cannon a last resort food should be rarer but at the same time people should be able to eventually support themselves - underground wheat farm etc but that should take up a lot of space for relatively low yeild, and also be difficult to set up. in a post apocolyptic world people would eventually self sustain even if they are living underground
