"The best" - You can't possibly be serious.

This forum is for clan recruitment, not the advertising of new servers.

Only a certain number of vehicles spawn on every server. The map on dayzdb lists every POSSIBLE vehicle spawn. There's more possible vehicle spawns than there's actual vehicles. A lot of the spawns will get you nothing. Edit: If you play on private hives, they sometimes have more vehicles, as well as custom spawn points (usually closer to the coast so you have to walk less.)

This is no idea unless you're actually suggesting that people should be able to buy their way into pre-alpha testing which is absolutely ridiculous.

Someone beat you to it. Crash sites change location upon every server restart, as does the equipment around the choppers.

"Character will cough and splutter, losing 3 blood every second. An infected player loses blood continuously until they reach 3,000 blood, at which point the blood loss stops, but coughing continues. Coughing sounds will attract the attention of nearby zombies." Source: http://www.dayzwiki..../Status_Effects

For those that are saying adding more spawn points upon server switching could be a possible solution: With the current state of the mod, I don't run from Kamenka to Elektro if that's where a friend of mine spawns. I let zombies kill me and respawn. Repeatedly, until I spawn near Elektro. Going all in on immersion just isn't worth it anymore due to reasons Xianyu (rightfully ) explained above. If we assume people swap servers to loot the same place they disconnected from on server A, what's to prevent them from simply doing so repeatedly, until they spawn where they want to spawn? Sure, it may take longer but the outcome doesn't change.

Although I know the details of this will never happen, I can't help but let myself go. The game should be darker.

No, but you were told it'd be removed from the game. And the talk about the unfairness of the AWS-scope had been going on for months. How can you then not expect it to also be removed from your inventory? Edit: Hell, OP himself even says that he was surprised to find his character still holding the weapon after the initial update.
-
OP himself says he knew the gun was about to be removed. He knew they'd never spawn again. Although he didn't think it'd happen before his death, he clearly knew the L85 AWS wouldn't be a part of his inventory forever. He had time to exchange it for something else. He had time to drop it. He chose not to. In what world are you allowed to expect that they'd simply GIVE you a new weapon when you insisted on carrying something you were told way before time was going to get removed? I don't follow.

Admin Abuse is becoming a large problem.
aHzdaNny replied to Shrapnell's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I thought admin abuse was a much bigger problem back when most people played on public servers. The amount of shit going on there was unparalleled and it didn't seem to make much of a difference where you went. When private servers whitelisted by their administrators (who often use a 3rd party anti-cheat client) came along, DayZ moved in a direction it should've done from day one. Personally, I haven't looked back since; nor have I had any issues with cheaters or abusive admins. -
I believe in God.

The very first time I played. Oh, the memories. I spawned near the bridges before Kamenka (didn't know it at the time) on a pitch black server. I was supposed to meet up with a mate who on ventrilo was telling me that he was near a big hill/mountain. I looked around, eagerly, and noticed I had a big mountain-esque landmark on my left (when pointing towards the bridges). "I'm there too," I screamed, with tears of joy running down my face. Seperately, we started climbing for what felt like forever. Not being able to see much else but trees didn't help our sense of direction and not knowing that zig-zagging your way up increases your rate of climbing by 10 only prolonged our efforts. Everytime we came across a slightly open area, we'd tell each other. Every now and then, we'd even fire a shot (this was back when you spawned with a pistol) because we figured we could use the sound as a tool to figure out where the other guy was. We'd heard stories of how difficult meeting up had been for other people we used to know but we were convinced our first go at the mod known world-wide as DayZ wouldn't get the best of us so easily. I climbed and I climbed until suddenly, out of nowhere, a guy appeared on the opposite side of the open field I'd come to. I couldn't see who it was. I didn't even know if it was a guy. "Is this you?" I asked, blatantly excited. "Oh, my God," he replied. "OH, MY GOD," I screamed. We both screamed. We ran towards each other. In slow-motion and with music playing out loud, naturally. We couldn't believe it. We did it. We'd found each other. 10 minutes later, we both died of starvation. (Way later, we both discovered that Chernarus had several of such hills/mountain and that we got retardedly lucky actually talking about the same one.)

How to play music through your mic?
aHzdaNny replied to maninthewall's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
At times, custom voices and relevant soundtracks are funny and proper scary. Actual music is just flat out annoying. -
How can people just run around town with rifles?
aHzdaNny replied to Wick94's topic in New Player Discussion
You'd be dead before drawing your weapon. At times, you're better off not carrying anything visible at all. As for zombies: if you run into a building with two entrances, you can shake off any half-eager maneater by simply running in on one side and out the other. Zombies can't run inside. Most experienced players don't bother engaging zombies because they simply don't have to. -
The clothes look fantastic, although I hope the final outcome includes more than simply different colours. I am absolutely loving how you guys are eliminating the predictability the mod had to offer with loot only spawning at specific locations in specific buildings. Adds a ton to the aspect of scavenging!

You can create a wallpaper from scratch in Photoshop. I do it all the time. And there's nothing wrong with using a stock photo, a render or whatever. It's still your work. However, if you're referring to people who simply find or take a screenshot and slap some text on it, then yeah, no kudos and beans for them.

Have you actually had a dream of DayZ?
aHzdaNny replied to Michaelvoodoo25's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
If I play for hours right before going to bed, having dreams about DayZ is almost certain. Strafing bullets seem to wake me up but I seem to knock back a bandit or two in the middle of nowhere before that happens. -
Helicopter crashsite explode when i go near
aHzdaNny replied to Fashizzles's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Crashed choppers are excellent bait. Always check your perimeter before moving in but don't ever be surprised or upset if you don't make it back. -
Glad to see another round of solid updates! Good effort.

Paying 1 Euro for one life 10 for 10e w/e, not requiring to buy the game, how would your playstyle be on such terms?
aHzdaNny replied to DreyX's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Lives being worth actual money wouldn't exactly make hacking for basement dwellers or grieving for coastal snipers any less attractive. And then it suddenly becomes much more than just a game for those who get killed. Imagine the tone you'd find in most topics around here (which is already pretty horrible) when people complain about the aforementioned ways of dying repeatedly. Worst idea ever. -
They're entitled to do whatever they want with the settings of their server. They paid for that privilege. Play somewhere else if you don't like it.

Just read the new update notes. Are Hackers gone?
aHzdaNny replied to Typheran's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Thing is that the anticheat used for ARMA II was never really designed for the kind of things the popularity of DayZ requires it to be able to do. The engine of ARMA allows - and encourages - modifications and, as such, has a lot of loop holes that make hacking, scripting and abusing so much easier than that of other games, ie. Counter Strike. And the devs of DayZ have very little, if anything at all, to do with Battleye due to its status as third party software. They can work on a better anticheat system for the standalone but they can't really improve on that aspect of the mod so I don't blame them for fixing the problems they actually have the tools to fix first.
