  1. Probst is logged in as admin, kicking everyone that joins the server but him and his friend. I'm all for server admin rights, but this seems like paying for a server to cheat, far as I'm concerned. Anyways if you see it in your list, might as well avoid it, apparently he doesn't want company. Just a heads up. Reposting here, I put it in General Discussion by mistake. I joined 823 4 times and watched Probst kick about 7 to 9 joiners off the server every time.
  2. No doing it this way continues to boot one computer if the other joins the server.
  3. I run DayZ Commander and she runs Six Launcher. But I'll see if we get anything off internal game browser.
  4. Thats actually allow duplicate ID's, which doesn't have anything to do with network addresses. My clan is running a server and we updated the config to test that today and its not applicable to network address, just duplicate game ID's
  5. Reply from BIS seems to indicate that this may be a Arma 2 Beta server issue. But they don't have enough information yet. So anyone else experiencing this issue should definitely go to the Bohemia Interactive site and file a support request with BIS or add something to the Dev-Heaven JIRA report at this link https://dev-heaven.net/issues/37534
  6. I think I may do that, my wife and I played successfully under 1.7.2.3 with the 94876 beta, but several Arma beta updates and incremental DayZ patches later, now we can't. Far as backing down our installs I can do that manually easy enough for testing purposes. So I'll give that a try tomorrow. Today I spent most of the day trying different router/port solutions that produced absolutely no results. If a downgrade does work though, only way we're going to get BIS's attention on the issue is if the Dev-Heaven JIRA gets some people voting behind it. Otherwise its just piss in the wind.
  7. Registry keys are completely different for ours. So unfortunately its not as simple as that. I really think this is something that's been introduced with the recent beta client/server software.
  8. I've created a bug report here https://dev-heaven.net/issues/37534, if anyone else experiencing the issue wants to weigh in on it, it might help get the problem some attention. I've also sent a support request to BIS and put up a thread on their trouble shooting forum. Hopefully an answer to the problem becomes apparent soon.
  9. Well as I said my wife and I were able to play for a day with no issues whatsoever. This was after the 1.7.2.3/94876 update last Friday. She has updated via Six Launcher several times and run into problems getting onto servers running 94876 still so I've gone in and manually removed the latest update and reinstalled the 94876 beta on her computer...but even that and manually reinstalling BattlEye hasn't allowed us to play on the same sever together since Monday 07/16. And its not just one server that rejects us both connecting, any server we both try to get on together. If I am already on a server and my wife tries to join it, I get a yellow latency link, then a broken red link and the message that I've stopped communicating with server over and over, once she actually gets to the game lobby, my player name isn't even in the lobby list any more, and when she tries to load in to the game environment, she can't download the full mission file, and has to exit out of the game. This is definitely very weird because its not like every computer connected to broadband internet has its own individual IP, home networking is extremely common and theres absolutely no reason why we should need two dedicated internet connections or have to pay for a VPN for one computer simply to play this game. Something about the DayZ server package is denying multiple connections from the same network address and its just started coming up recently.
  10. We've been gaming with the same internet connection and home networking set up for years now, we've never had any problems playing together on the same servers for any game other than Arma II/DayZ.
  11. Our IPv4 addresses are different but our external IP Is the same. I've forwarded all the relevant Arma II ports in my router. We still cannot connect to the same server, for some reason the servers cannot filter our NAT addressing and realize that we're two different computers attempting to connect to the same server.
  12. I've been pouring through my router settings and there isn't anything different there that wasn't there as of a few days ago.
  13. Even then we had no problem connecting to the same server the first day she played with me. It only started happening the next day after I died, now we cannot play on the same server together. If what you are proposing was the case we'd have had the problem from day one, not on day two.
  14. Thats not quite applicable as we have seperate IP's assigned, not a single IP.
  15. We never log into each others Steam accounts. Neither computer has a profile for the other account. I've checked that too.
  16. Not really raging, just trying to work it out. Had some friends on our Teamspeak end up with the same problem tonight too so they didn't play tonight so our little band of survivors was short 3 people. I eventually logged out cause of a lack of ability to play with my wife and friends.
  17. So reality, we want this to be a world wide zombie apocalypse.....heres some ideas on how to do it. License the Google Maps/Google Earth API. Cherry pick a 225 sKM area of every state in the United States and every country in Europe and Russia Procedurally generate topographically accurate BSP terrain. Procedurally generate semi-accurate populate centers, roads, highways for that specifically chosen area. Then all servers in a certain locale, say, all servers in Atlanta, are offering a localized map version that is somewhat geographically accurate for the servers actual location. Think about it. You reduce the amount of server hopping because not all servers will have loot spawns in the same places. You create an interesting reason for people to change their server environment sometimes, just to see how surviving say....in the Denver area of the Rocky Mountains would be like. With some forward thinking for the final product, you could effectively set up server zoning to the north/south/east/west of the server location. I could say...walk all the way north on a Texas server, cross a border and get transferred to the southern part of a map of an Oklahoma server, and so on and so forth, this would apply much the same to European and Russian servers as well. So, with some time and thought, a player could literally "walk" across the face of an entire country, from one state location to the next, experiencing a world wide zombie apocalypse, rather than one that seems to be an apocalypse in a teacup. Just a thought, the technology is there for it, and the GMaps/GEarth API can be wickedly useful for semi-accurate area reproduction. Not only would DayZ be doing something fun....DayZ would be doing something no game has ever done. Represent the real world as accurately as possible within the confines of its server structure.

    Military skin?

Every time I've put on clothing that I've found, whether it was a Ghillie or a Camo Suit....I immediately lost everything in my primary inventory and only had left what was in my backpack. I don't bother putting on clothes now. I just leave them where I find them.

Where'd you hide the animals, rocket?

At this time I have hundreds of steaks hidden at the bottom of Willow Lake. Its something to do with my time. Kill all the animals, take the meat, throw it in a lake. Just so the rest of you starve or have to survive on :beans:

    US 823 - Bad Server

Will do that. Sorry...didn't realize that was where I should put it.
  22. So yeah I have a small handful of servers I play on regularly, they're good servers, rarely have any lag related issues and me and my tiny group of survivors can play together on them without too much issue. Problem is though, I'm like 3 days alive now and I don't think its EVER been night time on the server that we've been playing on regularly and every server I go to seems to have the same inordinately long day cycle. Seriously last night we were all playing on a certain US Texas server, all our watches said it was around 10 minutes to 10PM, we decided to take a quick break, so we found a nice place to bunker down, and everyone logs out. About 30 minutes later after everyone had eaten and done whatever, we get back on Teamspeak and log in...and, its still bright as day on the server when we get in, I check my watch and its now 4PM as far as the server is concerned. So we logged off and it was nearly 10PM, we log back in and its 4PM? This isn't just the one server we play on most regularly but almost every server in my handful of servers we regularly float too depending on population levels and all of them are always day time, even servers that are GMT + or - the same number are always day time. What gives here? How can you log out of a server that has a server time of nearly 10PM and log back into the same server and be six hours earlier in the day? Come on guys, play it straight, seriously.
  23. I actually agree with this personally. I want it to be scrounging for survival, I've often felt the high end milgrade spawns just weren't worth it or were unbalanced in the feel of the rest of the game. I mean even if i have an L85 AWS, that doesn't mean as some random survivor that just washed up on a beach, that I'd be able to competently use such an advanced piece of military hardware. I'd love to see the milgrade stuff tapered down to what would usually be found as military surplus or as hunting supplies. I'm definitely not attached to my NVS or my combined optics on the L85. I want the night to be dark and dreadful and force me to consider where I was going to wait it out and to have that sense of dread that comes along with not knowing if I'm going to survive to see the next sunrise. And unfortunately since most server admins think that paying a server bill allows them to do whatever they want, we get stuck with servers that never see night time at all and the only time you really end up in a threatening situation is when you run across the server admin and his friends and they decide they don't like the fact that you figured out where they were hiding every vehicle on the server and decide to kill you, then ban you so you can't come back and find it again.

Ahh okay, you're a troll, not an insulted Russian. Never mind.

    Shit Really Gets Real...

Dude will you just fucking relax? I was in the Navy for 20 years I am well aware the "World" isn't "America". Russia is made up of several republics, districts and territories, when I used the term "state" I simply ment it as a descriptive term to describe the fact that there are lots of places in Russia and its not just one big wild commie empire. Christ, lighten up for fucks sake. And Adrian it may be out of Rocket's hands ALONE but I don't think a concept like this will stay in a small design team's hands for long. There will be the technology available, there will be the people available to make it work. Its only a matter of time.
