Hand-to-hand combat has been confirmed for Standalone for those who didn't know. Rocket said so.

I would like to ask how would this affect the community of having this implemented(IF, not it will) .. Here are my options with this. Option 1 --- After a report is sent, Battleye would be notified and will run a scan to the person's character and see whether it has banned weapons(not in DayZ), cheat programs, exploited coding, any type of harassment through chat logs and such. If it happens to find any of that, it will ban that person. Option 2 --- After a report is sent, players will be given the option to vote to kick/ban the certain person for such behavior. If the majority wins, they'll receive a kick. An available moderator will continue on with this issue to give that person some type of punishment. Option 3 --- Establish a group of volunteers that meet the requirements to join; This is what I'd like to call a 'Customer Support' group where they settle things like this. Reports will be queued through a list for them to go through. Reports can capture a reason, screenshot, character name and GUID. This is specifically for Standalone.

Good idea :) I heard that animals will actually be smarter in the Standalone. Dogs in the mod were actually suppose to track animals for you to hunt but for it being in the Standalone would be better. I would like to bring up an idea about protecting your dog. Like getting a vest for a bit more protection against attacks

Sounds a bit like WarZ but I think this is a good idea. I think I read somewhere that your character would have something like a 'one life' thing where if they die, you'd have to make another. Not too sure.

Already confirmed for Standalone. Magazines are considered as an 'attachment' and has to be reloaded with bullets manually Magazines that you find won't always be full

I do know that the development team made hacking a priority to make it as less of an issue as possible. The reporting system can be simplified for a use to make it for serious game breaking issues though :)

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way I could use a Dualshock 3(Playstation 3) controller for Arma/DayZ? I just wanted to test to see whether I'm better with the basic Mouse/Keyboard setup or a controller for my gameplay. :) Thanks!

It seems that an Xbox controller is easier to configure. Unfortunately I don't have them anymore. I'll make use with my PS3 controller then :P

I can agree with this. I'd like to see an option to getting your vehicle onto some type of lift when you have to replace a tire. It's impossible to replace a tire when it's on the ground. I'd also like to see some type of cooperation method like having a buddy working beside you on a car.

SA Suggestion: Trashcans/Bins, Dumpsters.
TIC replied to IkaikaKekai's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
How about an ability to hide inside dumpsters as well? After getting out of the dumpster you have hidden inside, you'll leave a scent that could give you a higher chance of attracting zombies and have a possible disease lingering onto your clothes or even have flies fly around you(just the sound, like as if it's a dead body but more quiet) -
You guys are on it today! Thanks! :)

I think the hackusations is a current problem. I have been accused of it as well and encountered other players tossing this at eachother. Along with invalid statements like 'Bad aim' and bashing banditry but anyways, I am wondering how we can solve this issue for hacking. One of the ideas I had mentioned is a screenshot method for the moderator/admin to determine but at this point, the current team for DayZ is quite under-staffed to deal with this kind of element. This is why I had suggested that a team based on this would be advised if it's necessary :) I'd like to thank everyone for contributing and sharing their thoughts. I like this type of feedback very much.

-Knowingly submitting any kind of false report is considered a misuse of the reporting system, and may result in your account being penalised. Found in my topic ;) I believe this could be improved by developing a trusted team of moderators since the DayZ community is expanding and willing to contribute as is. It's a great community. I'm sure people would like to participate :)

I do think that since some food items are exposed out in the environment, we need to preserve it in some way. I agree with this idea.

I'd like to see if a player was attacked and was bleeding, they could leave small to moderate traces of blood that could stain the ground. More fresh blood makes it easier to track and makes it apparent that players were recently around or even footprints from muddy areas and such from rain.

It's better to use the Server Browser through DayZ Commander. The multiplayer setup through the main ARMA menu isn't all that great for DayZ. It's a lot more organized and categorizes everything you need to look for. Try that! :) Other than that, check if you're updated with your ARMA/DayZ Version.

Could anyone share some more ideas about this topic? :)
-
I'm going to keep this topic a bit short but with a big idea that I think would increase the survival realism just a slight for both the mod and Standalone. Would we see more abilities to convert ammo for other weapons? Here's the current magazines: http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Convert_Magazines

I think weight should be factored in as well. Because most players often carry a weapon in their backpacks(most likely a sniper), equipped with a primary and secondary weapon + equipment and if not wearing shoes would make you run faster, then that wouldn't make sense with all that gear to carry. If objects would be a harm for your feet, then you're only risking safety over faster traveling. The bottom line is; I don't think this should be integrated. It's fine as is.

It'd be nice if there was a translator for this gibberish :P
-
I'd like to have an option to be able to see your gear inside vehicles like Urals, sedans, etc instead of it being invisible. This would really help judge how much stuff you can really put inside.

Would this gun be OK too?
