  1. Hey guys, TIC here. I wanted to make a suggestion to the mod where I wanted to know if it were to be possible that we could see animals receiving some type of update such as a better navigation instead of remaining stationary on a hill slope or in the middle of the road. I'd also like to see something such as them making sounds. As of now, they are silent. At some points, it makes me wonder if they're actually there or just a figment of my imagination since sometimes they disappear when they die or just vanish within air. Along those lines, since zombies roam around in random areas now, I'd like to see a possibility of attacking an animal or chasing it(useful for rabbits) which would somewhat eliminate the metagaming of determining a player around the area which the zombie would instead be chasing an animal. If a zombie so happens to kill an animal, they could gather around eating the remains and renders the meat useless for human survivors. The meat can have a large potential of being infectious; such as how water, blood transfusions and such can get you an infection. Feel free to share your opinion :)
  2. Yeah exactly, animals should play somewhat of a big role in survival whether it's for your own aide or against you in general. With ups and downs to this animal category, I'd also like to see what we can expand in this opportunity as you mentioned before which equals to me giving you my beans, enjoy :)

    Ability to Access Gear While Unconscious

    I agree. I'd like to see if a player was unconcious(particularly a bandit in this point) .. You could bandage them, take away their gun and ammunition and just carry on without having to worry about losing any humanity. I'd hope we could see this happening in the future :)
  4. I agree. DayZ has been pretty quiet lately. I have a feeling they're hiding out something pretty massive since Dean Hall's absence. Maybe we'll see some additional features that will be presented while one of the developers work on the architecture. Let's wait and see what they have to surprise us :)
  5. Yeah this is definitely worth my time looking through. Bohemia seems to have a weak point of integrating controller user interfaces. Definitely need to expand this if they're ever going to mention a possible console port depending on sales as well. I'd like to see it mainly being specified to Xbox/PS controllers since they both have that center button (Home and XMB) to open up the radial menu I also think the X button should have more features instead of equip like being able to consume or an option to highlight the item to be able to craft/combine them. Other than that, I could see this being possible :)

  8. I have been thinking that a lot actually. For the most part, I mostly play solo because I work better that way and better interactions with randoms and for about half the time, I encounter players who happen to shoot on sight and not willing to communicate due to 3rd party softwares. What I was thinking if it's even possible if the game could recognize 3rd party VOiP software and notify you to close them out to enhance the experience. The downside to this is that many players want to group up and enjoy the experience together which encourages the community to expand even more in many ways possible

    Use for razors and toilet paper

    Would love to see that as a part of a crafting system for Standalone. I think razors would be great to give off a light signal from the sunlight or even something more practical along those lines even.

I have wondered since we are able to craft items and make them into weapons or disinfect items, could we make more varieties of food and make it enhance healing properties, hunger satisfaction and different blood gains. Looks like brains won't be the only dish for zombies! How Foods Can Be Crafted *This would work with the drag/drop option in the inventory system to make it easier to create several dishes. *An ability to eat raw products but could cause a consequence(especially meats which could hold in diseases such as salmonella) *Once cooking over a fire, you'd have to keep an eye out on what's on the fire on a skillet/frying pan. You'd have to watch how items will be cooked/boiled to watch out for it being overcooked/undercooked.With more food varieties, we could have an option to combine food items by drag and drop over them which was demonstrated at PAX East with the new inventory system.     SA DAYZ Prison Yes or No

    I think it'd be great to find hidden items or even easter eggs in certain cell blocks, you know what I mean? It doesn't have to be anything down to the ground like how WoW does it. Just something that we could do to kill time when we have nothing else to do in a prison :)

    DayZ map expansion.

    This is definitely worth seeing. Not only does it expand the map, it gives us more of an opportunity with the addition of more players/zombies being implemented, we could even see new places and more areas to travel. I think some areas on the expansion could increase risks/loot as well.

    SA DAYZ Prison Yes or No

    The Walking Dead is a good concept to snag ideas. I really like how they portray the prison. It suits the environment and it's away from some civilization. Since the prison is on Utes, here's what I thought we should add to the prison. I think the prison should be related to something like Alcatraz. Notes/stories lying around in some prison cells, giving us a brief description of their lives in prison before/after the zombie apocalypse. Cafeteria room filled with mostly infected food with diseases. Rodents/bugs. Various cellblocks and other rooms like a mess hall, kitchen, armory. An ability to find keys that go to your toolbelt that can open some prison cells depending on cell blocks(A through D for example)

    I can totally agree with this whole topic. Health should be more of a factor something that plays out more of your character's progress rather than gear.
  17. Aside from the smartass above me, I believe this is a great feature. It's good to communicate to someone you don't know or speaking in different chat radius' in certain situations like sneaking around and such.
  18. I also think after awhile of eating certain items that you consume along with it being based on your diet, your taste will be different and should satisfy your hunger differently.

The new male character mesh is being prepared, in line with the new skeleton, as well as a new template for clothing skinning. The new M4A1 has been committed with proxies that allow our new attachment system to be utilized along with the crafting system. "Also being worked on are a Gas Mask, Pilot Helmet, Mauser Rifle, pen/paper, mess tin, can opener - a huge amount of items are being developed while we wait for the programming tasks to be completed heading towards our first public release."
  20. I'd love to see positive and negative diets creating an impact on immunity for diseases. From what I heard, Rocket had said that diseases could possibly be a larger threat than zombies would be.
  21. I hope this architecture that the devs are working on would resolve those issues for the Standalone. I'd also like to be able to use zombies to your advantage. Things like throwing a tin can to distract them would be more effective to leaving an area or luring them to a player.

  23. I dig this layout of this topic. Pretty professional and clean. Also it's a very interesting read. It's like reading a magazine article. I do agree that there should be benefits to players who do deeds such as killing a certain number of zombies or surviving for a certain period of time (Like a month would give you some type of title) and it could be carried onto your character possibly after death as well.

    Weather ideas

    I'd like to see how it affects zombies and players or even animals being exposed to harsh conditions. Such as when it rains, it masks out your footsteps to prevent zombies from hearing you in a certain extent but would make them act more aggressively. I have already discussed this as well.
