    Random FPS Dropping!

Probably should try playing it on 'Windowed' so you can adjust the size of your screen easier.. Lower the size, better it'll play. Less pixels for the resolution size. I gained about 10 FPS for using 'Windowed'
  2. Rocket has confirmed that horses will be in the Standalone.. Last time I heard (about 5 months ago) was that they were acting like how cars were.. Stiff animations and such. We'll definitely see horses. Just not sure what role they'll play in for storing equipment though. I'd definitely like to have a dog and a horse with me :P
  3. Hey guys, TIC here.. I wanted to suggest an idea that relates to blood and how it can effect us more for our health. (Specifically lower blood levels -low blood level ranges for you to decide- instead of 12,000 full blood.) Lower blood levels include these symptoms: (I include symptoms that are already implemented in case people forgotten about it in this topic) Body core temperature decreases faster. Less immune to infections. Dizziness would occur. Fainting. (Already implemented) Increased thirst. Blurry vision (Already implemented) Having a high blood count should be an essential and play more of a role. Blood should not exceed the 12K limit. Discuss :)
  4. Definitely. The theme of this forum is based on the mod more than it is for the Standalone. It could use a transformation once we have hands on the alpha release for Standalone. It could be easily achieved by switching between the Mod and Standalone which I think Standalone will garner more attention.. The Standalone could make it as the homepage while the forums could remain the same but add in more topic categories.. The staff have been doing a wonderful job maintaining their guidelines and doing their jobs right while at the same time, keeping their cool. Not once have I seen any of the moderators lose their control. I think it's a good time to thank them for their contribution. As for Rocket, he's done great. No one's perfect though and we can learn from things depending on how important it is. All in all; you're spot on. :)
  5. With that time and effort, it could be all done with a devblog. It could be anything; like news and such. Just as long as we hear about some updates/progress of Standalone before E3 :) Edit: I suppose bits and pieces from various sites will do for now. Just wished it was more original by sharing details with the official forum community
  6. I think with crafting being involved, I'd definitely like to have an option to make these items by scratch.

    Zombies

Guess it's time to start reading my.. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/c2/Zombiesurvivalguide.jpg/180px-Zombiesurvivalguide.jpg
  8. It's something that'd have to be visual, such as seeing double images in your vision which could result into more fainting

    DayZ Standalone Relase Date?

Dean Hall is back in office so I'd assume that development on the Standalone will be much faster for release with him leading additional projects for the future of DayZ. All we can do is wait and see. "It's done when it's done" -Dean Hall, "Rocket"
  10. How do we participate in future events? Looks like a lot of fun! :)
  11. Definitely. Each forum category should have a reputation rating which only allows certain users for each category eligible to express their thoughts and opinions into; prevents trolling/flaming by a ten-fold.

    DayZ Mod 1.7.6.1 Hotfix

And why did you quote something 3 months ago? We should seriously lock old threads like this. Fools people into thinking there's a new announcement

    WE NEED CAVES

    Something like this please.
  14. I like the idea. Especially if you're around certain environments, your same camouflage pattern won't provide enough coverage since in this case, you'd be in a different area. These makeshift ghillie suits would also be damaged or rendered useless if there were heavy rain and windy conditions(if this were the case) I'd like to be able to craft our own suits; it'd start off by finding a webbed outfit that could let you stick objects on it (Even tin cans, newspapers) (Click picture for larger/clear image)
  15. What's wrong with your 'crap' computer that you currently have now? What's the specs? If I were you, I'd wait for the Standalone to be released and see how it runs on your current PC. If you're still not satisfied, make the switch.
  16. Hey guys, TIC here. I wanted to bring up an idea that I thought would be good.. What about something that regards in names? Here's how it works; ID CARDS One of your first given spawn items, could also be dropped or replaced with other forms of identification such as Dog Tags too.. ID cards can be dropped and left behind. It's been confirmed that dogs will track items dropped by players ID cards may be damaged by gun fire(Determined by area shot from; shirt pockets, jeans), water damage. I have wondered if this should be an actual item in your inventory or something that's invisibly bound onto the player; your pick. Information details; Name, Gender, Blood Type(easier to give right blood for transfusions), Date/Time of birth(determines when you started surviving/duration If POSSIBLE; I'd like to see a way that we can eliminate usernames that contain things such as; Xx420L337BronyXx, QuikSkopeZ and other ridiculous names***NO OFFENSE IF THAT'S YOU!*** :D
  17. Maybe you could find other forms of ID instead of a default ID Card like you can come across some dog tags, Name Badge, etc.
  18. I'm glad they will get rid of 50 caliber snipers even though they're great for anti-material instead of anti-personnel. This sniper would be a great replacement.
  19. At the point of development, anythings possible. Scalping is not anything I have seen in games except for Gun. Interesting concept. Having ID cards would eliminate some issues such as nameplates and death messages onscreen. I want to be able to identify a person through their ID and actually study the body for wounds on that person.
  20. What do you guys think of having ID cards that are invisibly bound on our characters and could be used to take if someone was killed. Could be used as a trophy, for recognition, for history on the character, etc.
  21. How about each server has dedicated graphics settings if this were the case.. Like one server would offer low settings for computers that are low-grade or for people who seek for high performance gains and the other servers could be medium and high.
  22. Input Metal Pole + Machete Output Spear Tools Toolbox Chance 100% Enchantments = Melee weapon ActionType = Primary weapon? Can anyone say 'Let's pretend to be Macgyver"? Looks like Rocket took appreciation to this idea! (Video will automatically send you to the portion of the video)
  23. I'm happy they're improving the Study Body function. It'd be great for expert servers :)
  24. Exactly. This simulates survival in an apocalypse from a virus which could possibly exist in our world. The goal for my topic is to shoot for immersion along with realism that the standalone seems to be striving for at this point. I'd also don't want to forget that I want to introduce ID cards as well to find out who was deceased.. Maybe next time I could introduce an enhanced 'Study Body' function that allows us to actually identify what wounds were inflicted instead such as you'd see zombie bites appear if the player were killed by zombies, gunshot wounds, etc.
