I discovered that when a server starts to bog down after an hour or so (This is with about a 40 player count) and you happen to find a helicopter, as someone is flying around and you happen to be the gunner. If you switch between seats, sometimes it kicks you completely out and you plummet to your death. Affected Vehicle as of now: Mi-17 Transport.

The problem I have with being able to see other people is that those people blend in so easily with the environment, even I have a hard time trying to spot where possible hostile survivors are. As a possible solution; just stare at an area for a few seconds or more and check around trees and bushes. It could be anything between a zombie wandering in the forest or someone in a ghillie hearing your footsteps nearby to take aim and eliminate you. Another thing is to ensure that both your 3D resolution and your native resolution are scaled together. This gives you a much clear image on screen. (Depending on your GPU/CPU and monitor size, this could pose some performance issues for lower-end PCs)

Good idea about condoms. I always thought they were only good for using to make balloons :P There's an article about survival uses of a condom on this website: http://willowhavenoutdoor.com/featured-wilderness-survival-blog-entries/1-ways-a-condom-can-save-your-life-multi-functional-survival-uses-for-a-condom/

Are you using DayZ Commander?

There sure are a lot of developers on right now, what's going on? ;) Edit: AND viewing this topic too? Hmm..

I hope that with the more in-depth medical system, this requires us to help each other more easily (Find an exact location of bleeding to bandage, finding a bullet inside a buddy and being able to take it out with a knife, etc)

A lot of developers on today..

Haha, that strike through is so tiny on that "a"

Pictures look great but it looks like at that angle with the fire extinguisher, well you know where it's going from here.

about 95% of what you said are confirmed.. Except for dual wielding, some animals(test monkeys *cough cough*) Edit: Pink handcuffs?

Placeholders aren't so bad. They'll just keep us occupied for the meantime until the new batches of content comes in :) I got a feeling that the new sounds are going to be great when they come out. Hopefully they'll be close to JSRS' sound quality.

I have a question about clothing. Will there be different materials? Because we all know that "cotton kills, friends don’t let friends wear cotton and cotton is rotten." ;)

Rocket's quick update for today: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/152227-quick-update-for-19-november-2013/#entry1525211

Great to hear Rocket, keep up the good work :)

I don't think it'd be very fun for you to easily evade them if they were able to walk.. If it was something to pose as a threat, it would somewhat eliminate the kill on sight mentality that the majority of players currently have. In the movie like 28 days/weeks later, the "zombies" can run themselves and you can see how much of a threat that truly creates. Believe me, I prefer hard challenges over easy obstacles.

Perhaps we should leave that on another topic. :)

Weekly recaps are always useful to remember what has been discussed throughout the week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueNrlPCHx-Q

Rocket has mentioned that all backpacks that were from the mod have been removed and remodeled. http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1qq9dv/dayz_standalone_test_15_november_2013/cdfe5f3?context=3

If you haven't seen the testing footage; it was on around normal or high settings.. It was reported that on a very low graphical setting would cause lagging issues. Testing footage from 11/15: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aRJhG2TwR0

Couple pictures; includes Wrench and Binos :)

I know its been discussed alot but, note book?
TIC replied to Oliver Riedel's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I know in Project Zomboid they have something similar to this, but the only problem is that you can't read what those notes say. I'd like it if there were 2 ways to do it, such as this.. While writing, you can see your character jotting down notes, which appears in scribbles in view but when selecting "read" .. Your character will describe what recent actions have happened throughout the course (Perhaps something like in a 20 min gap from past-present)You have an option to type these notes. Not sure how it'd go for vulgarity. -
It depends on how you use the term "Sucks" .. "Sucks" is how we see it out of a certain perspective. Rocket had been telling us many, many times that this isn't final :) The point of the Standalone being released around this time is for further testing for larger player counts, see if everything is functional and listen to feedback on this. Along the way, the Standalone will be greatly improved with free updates on Steam which will be available. Once the alpha does come out, there's always the mod to fall back to if people are willing to continue with it :) The support of the mod will still be carried on.

Zombies look greatly improved instead of dodging when you aim your firearm at them or zigzagging and not totally sprinting behind you. For pre-alpha footage, it has amazed a lot of people and myself included. Might have some bumps along the road but I'm sure they'll be smoothed out over the course. Edit: I noticed whenever your character is panting, you can't see the condensation from exhaling like you can in every couple of seconds. I wonder if this will be synced together if possible? :) And also, take a look at OP. It takes up 3/4 of the whole page.. Haven't seen it being THAT informative in ages.
