Question about a weapon attachment; would we be able to attach a scope onto a crossbow? :)

Yeah I noticed those too and thought if they'll ever serve a purpose? I also notice things like toilets and should be able to refill water from there but has to be very limited.

I do. Along with the game freezing in about 5-10 second intervals, even with the settings on either low or very low, windowed and lowest 3D resolution.

Same thing happens to me which makes me not have to worry so much and get to know the new areas better :) The only places I can find other people is in the southern coastal areas.

I know in DayZ mod they had this in their official servers which the servers were based in real time. I believe Standalone is the same; not exactly too sure.

Weight is already confirmed for a feature later on through it's development. Stamina will most likely be part of a caloric system based on thirst and hunger.

Well there's always the potential of gear being destroyed and I think that's a realistic factor to consider. DayZ is meant to be in your own perspective and how you would feel by the actions the person has done. Making your character feel these symptoms you pointed out takes out that immersion and I wouldn't want people to feel forced to change their behavior only because it pleases that one person. The point is, your DayZ character is a representation of you. It's a harsh realization of a post-apocalyptic environment in the game that's meant to be this way.

Well, the mod basically brought in a large amount of people to purchase Arma 2 to even play it to begin with; consider that it did create a 500% increase in sales.. Of course there will be plenty of experienced players but there's always a way to overcome it. It's more of a mind game. I know it's unfortunate to the ones who become discouraged by the experience but this is how you get better over time :) There are similar functions that correlate to the mod but the Standalone is quite more in depth without the limitations the mod suffers on. The problems you face now are confirmed to be fixed along the way with the daily patches we receive. The reason why it's on Steam is to push out updates much easier and flawlessly than it is through an application via DayZ Commander.

Basically how most MMOs are throughout their development stages which is things to be taken for granted than appreciated. DayZ has quite a lot of potential that I can see right now and in my opinion is a great investment towards a game. What I really like most and this is something I never seen before is a very strong community that's willing to help it's course of advancing development such as having your own radio station in-game. Think about it, the mod's a concept or the predecessor of what the Standalone is and this is what grew and learned upon it. The mod is even great enough for me to continue playing and supporting it even after it's release. :)

I tried looking for it but I don't think it's in yet. I swam to Skalisky island and went to the southern end as well. And yes you can swim but not dive underwater yet. Swimming is definitely an improvement.

Have you tried these solutions? Adjusting permission privileges? (Found in your Steam folder on My Computer and right clicking the DayZ application) Running the game on Administrator? Adjusting your microphone through your sound settings (Recording settings in particular)

I'm disappointed by some of the community for it's impatient and improper demeanor; my reasons are that Rocket and the team done what everyone was asking for which was simply an alpha release this year. We all knew what was coming when the word alpha was labeled with the product and they listened to what the majority has wanted but it comes with a price like so: This is not final. For now this is a perfect opportunity to square away the issues by reporting them and I really appreciate the daily patches that have been rolling in since the release on Steam. (Thanks for that) :)
