Hello, unsure if you were able to figure out your problem, but after spending quite a while (3-5 hours) figuring what to do. I've finally figured out how to make DayZ work. When I first started trying to get it work, I was counting on this post to help, but since no one replied, I'll be the one to do it. At first, for me, I tried following the DayZ wiki directions, I installed the beta patch, six updater, manual installed the mod, and changed the target for the beta patch. Unfortunately, they all didn't work. So, what I did to solve my problem was uninstall everything, except for the 6Updater since that helped me solve my problem. I have the physical copy of Arma 2 Combined Operations, two discs, if you're wondering. Also delete all essence of Arma 2, such as the battleEye installer, the folder, and things like that. Let the installer create a new folder. After uninstalling the game, I reinstalled Arma 2, launched it as soon as it was done, then installed Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, when I finished downloading, it said something along the lines of "1.06 patch successfully updated." This patch update helped me remember something someone else in the forums said that they were able to fix their problem by firstly updating Arma 2 1.06 to 1.11 first. Here's the link to the download. It should be the second from the top, under 1.60. http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates Now, this is only if you have the non-steam version, I'm not sure if it'll work on steam. And I'm not entirely sure if this update is needed, but it worked for me. After that, I then installed the update 1.11 (link above the 1.06) and let it do its magic. After that, I ran 6updater and let it do it's thing. After that, I clicked on quick match, and it loaded me in sucessfully. I'm sorry if this post may be confusing, but I wanted to help since when I read your post, you were in the exact same position I was in and I wanted to make sure others stalking through the forums can see a solution to physical copies. I'll try to get back to you if you need more help, but I've told you all I've done for my DayZ to work.
