no, they are different hives. your progress on chernarus will not be altered if you play on lingor and vice versa.

Hopefully today's update will correct these issues, I would be in favor of a complete wipe of tents, vehicles and everything for that matter to get the state of items back to normal.

If you are using steam try this... 1. close steam 2. re-apply the latest patch 3. lauch steam as administrator 4. launch Arma 2 OA and enter any mission 5. close Arma 2 6. right click Arma 2 in the games list and "reinstall battle eye" 7. close steam 8. try to play again Hint: don't install latest patches immediately, only when the server you're playing on mostly upgrades to that patch

The reason my interest is waning is bugs, and duplicated/spawned items. It's not so fun that 80% of the people I see have 100% of the rarest gear, then once I take one of then out with an axe, they show up 20 minutes later with the same kit. Vehicles and tents are borked = more frustration and lack of motivation to squirrel away any bits and bobs I find cause it won't work, or causes more duped items. I still play a bit, not as much as I did... just waiting for fixes at the moment while playing other stuff.

Changing the shadow quality setting to High or Very High causes it to be processed by the GPU, leaving it at default or lower causes it to be processed by the CPU which is already bogged down by the game itself. Changing this setting to high when you have low FPS can cause an increase in performance. I'm not sure if any of the other settings act this way, but it's possible depending on your system that changing other settings to High will not decrease performance.

in your config file make sure that the... Render_W=1366; Render_H=768; lines match your screen resolution, those numbers above are mine change your -exthreads to 7 instead of 1 change your detected frames to 1 instead of 0 add -winxp to your startup parameters add -maxMem=2047 -maxVRAM=2047 to startup parameters in audio settings, drop your samples to 16 and does this fancy coolsense technology (sounds like a breath mint) keep the processor cool or is it meant to keep the bottom of the laptop cool. yes I understand cool = cool, but the laptop could be cool but processor still be running hot. In your graphics driver setup control panel thingy... turn off threads or threaded optimization and match any other settings to what is in your game setup in your video settings change shadow quality to high instead of disabled. I would try these one at a time and see what happens.... just some hopefully helpful input

Your specs literally double mine and I get 25 to 40 fps depending on whether I'm in a big city or in a field. There is something you are missing. If the game is causing the temperature of your processor to go up too high, then there may not be anything you can do. With it being a laptop, I'm not sure if the cooling system is sufficient. I personally have never had an fps drop with any patches.

Happened to me today, spent 2 hours repairing a bus in cherno then drove it past gorka. Came home and it didn't save, honestly don't believe it was someone stealing it since I just found two ATV's in the most obvious place. It's all borked up, I have no incentive to play, if there is no development those of us with short attention spans will go somewhere else. I understand the state of things now with Rocket having other responsibilities like the standalone and Arma 3, but there isn't even any news. Someone please let us know if problems are even being looked at, maybe a tweet.

I used to think that.... but now I can get "fully geared" in 30 minutes or less. By fully geared I mean I am able to defend myself from zombies and have a sporting chance at any pvp encounter besides a head shot from a treeline that I didn't see coming.

For me... I downloaded the files through torrent. Opened the archive, replaced the files in my @Dayz mod with the files in the archive I had just downloaded. Worked fine. The manual download states there are install instructions in the archive, there were not.

Not that I'm aware of with six launcer or just using multiplayer... but if you use DayZCommander you have a recent server list.

The idea would be to give matches a limited number of uses, however many are in a box. Add lighters to the game with more uses than a box of matches, more rare than matches. Add flint & steel with even more uses than a lighter, more rare than a lighter.

only thing I can think of could be wonky drivers/firmware... make sure you have the latest firmware and motherboard drivers, newest drivers for processor. Use control alt delete to shut off any unnecessary programs and services before running dayz and use it to set priority of arma 2 to high. Add this string to startup parameters "-nosplash -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7 -maxMem=2047 -skipIntro -world=empty -maxVRAM=2047" without quotes. If you have NVIDIA drivers, add Arma 2 to your NVIDIA control panel and adjust those settings. I firmly believe it's just something simple for you, but not obvious. My system ran dayz at 10 fps, after some investigation and tweaking i'm getting 30 fps and my specs are. 2 year old Acer Aspire X1420G bought at Wal-Mart AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.1 Ghz 4GB generic RAM 64 bit Windows 7 Single generic 1TB hard drive NVIDIA Geforce GT 430 (only upgrade from original equipment)
