    Identifying other players

TL;DR, nametags after handshake. Here's my word on nametags... I don't care how good your computer/monitor is, it's impossible to identify a person past 10 meters (and I'm being very generous). In a videogame most, if not all character models have the same body type, height, weight, and animations. I hate using this phrase towards games, but in the real world you can identify someone you know from pretty far away because of the things I mentioned above. "That's Billy, I'd recognize that potbelly, bow-legged guy anywhere!" "Susie's over there with her petite frame and spunky walk." Everyone has their own telltale traits that can never, and will never be portrayed in the game. Sure more options for customization will help, but it won't solve this issue. There will always be limitations in games that will result in people having very similar configurations. So here's my suggestion, Add a new action to initiate a handshake with someone, which will activate nametags between you two. These don't have to be game-breakingly huge flashing nametags viewable for miles... Just something subtle at moderate ranges, and only on mouse-over. I feel this will add a lot of interaction in game and make things more personal, and balance out what can't be replicated from real-life. Imagine strolling through town and seeing someone, you say "Hello!" and extend your hand to greet them, not knowing if you'll live past this moment.

incentive not to kill everyone you find

I'm not trying to accuse you, but I've seen many other say that as well. If you hunt KOS'ers what is preventing you from being one as well, are you not killing on site, too? And how are you sure these are bandits you're murdering?

I don't have 3D enabled in the Nvidia settings, which is what makes it odd. No other game I've played has done this.

I have this same issue. I didn't even know that 3D mode light existed until I booted up DayZ. I run the game in windowed mode now, and it doesn't go into 3D mode.

I agree with this too, though it's a person's choice to do so. This game is all about real interaction, and as everyone know, hate and racism are in the real world. Do I support racism? No, but I'm not against it either. Bathroom stalls are a decent example of humans. You're going to see profanity on a lot of public places.

You must be offended by playing any game with human interaction. It's going to happen as long as there's a way to communicate.

. 10 hours is a little on the extreme side, but i believe the idea is good.

That's actually a very good idea. It's kind of like how on some forums you cant make a thread for a few days or so many posts after creating your account. It'll make people earn their right to leave letters.

I think it should be re added. If people want to be racist and portray slander, they will find the means to do so. Should they also remove VOIP due to verbal abuse?

[GUIDE] Xbox Controller Support Using Xpadder

Yes. While holding LT, you can click RS to adjust the zoom level. Each time you press RS it toggles between + and -, so keep that in mind. Example for using the AS50: Tap LT for ADS, Hold LT for steadying, and precise aiming, While holding LT, click and hold RS until fully zoomed, and release, While holding LT, click and hold RS until zoomed out. Hope this helps!

If you're just going to use a controller for vehicles, I would suggest sticking with the native controller support.
  15. I have updated my Xpadder profile. Just thought I'd make a post here for people who don't go in the New People folder. Thread can be found here.
