Sorry I have to stop you there. This is demonstrably not true. I help strangers out about 50% of the time. I think you're getting too close to what you think the game should be, instead of adapting to how the game is at this alpha stage. -

You (should) only get an hourglass if you log out when the shock indicator is showing. It's the one that looks a bit like a disconnect icon. Stupid things can cause shock. The other day I got hit by an opening door and logged off to follow friends. Hourglass tiem. -

If it's happening on just one server then it's down to the server ops to deal with it. Probably just a restart is required. Normally if you try again the next day the server will be auto-magically restarted and working. -
As above, it's barbed wire. It's always barbed wire. Chances of it being your system are basically nil, unless you have been having corruption in other games.

A no-penalty approach to server hopping - stacking

Think of each player as a coin - the centre of the coin represents the player, the edge is an arbitrary boundary creating a 'safe zone'. Should another player load in to the server, and their safe zones overlap any previously spawned player, then these two players will be unable to interact with each other. (They may be invisible to one another, or invulnerable etc). This state would remain until the player's safe zones no longer overlap, at which point the players would have no further restrictions. This process would stack with as many players as required. If you think of each player being a coin, as each player loads in they stack on top of the previous player, with all in the stack unable to interact. As any player leaves the stack they can return and interact with the player on the lowest level of the stack. If any two players safe zones no longer stack, but are within the safe zone of another player in the stack, they will remain as if they were still stacked. If the player at the lowest level of the stack leaves or is killed then the killer becomes the lowest level of the stack, if they are within an arbitrary range, otherwise the next player in the stack becomes the lowest level, and so on. This is designed to work in enclosed areas, like buildings or groups of buildings, but it would tune to outside areas depending on the size of the safe zone. -

I think the server records a death the moment you bleed out. If you're quick enough to beat that bleedout you'll revert to your last save state. If the servers were to save when the connection's lost then half the problem would be solved. Let them bleed out on another server, whatevs. -

You have to grab the correct dll from the battleye website. My Battleye is now updated and working. Connecting to servers using the latest beta from six launcher. -

I often disconnect when I have to go AFK for a short period. Normally I just go to the group screen, but all too often I exit the server accidentally. Leaving and not being able to rejoin would be an annoyance for myself and anyone in my group. No, you were making a lot of assumptions in your post. I'm sure you'll have some spittle flecked invectives ready, but it doesn't change the fact you don't know what you're talking about. -

Interesting, seemingly it sets max polygons per scene. -
A bullhorn to project a directional extension to standard direct communications. Player tool belt item, similar to flashlight/hatchet, which must be equipped as a weapon to use. Use of the bullhorn would spawn and aggro zombies similarly to firing an Enfield.

I'm pretty sure the crusades were pre-bullhorn. Not discovered in my search.

Anything to push the range of direct coms would be useful. I have been in a few situations where I have had eyes on players at range and wanted to communicate.

Ghillie Suit turned into Civilian clothing

Also had a ghillie turn to civvies. I guess the fix is to remove the ghillie before you log. Come to think of it the previous server I had joined kicked me with battleye before I even loaded into the game. Perhaps there is a connection? I've never had a battleye kick before. Yeah, this is a new issue.
