History doesn't bear out your argument, and there are many veterans who had no issue killing the people they did, they felt justified. Nazi Germany anyone?

The possibility of being on death row is a deterrent. Take the deterrent away and see how many people will starting killing and enjoying it while they do. We all have the capacity for murder in us, we are the offspring of the most ruthless survivors, our ancestors did the most cruel and unspeakable things to each other, not all of it was in self defense, much of it was for enjoyment or other more nuanced reasons. Modern society is working and has made things more peaceful, in fact we live in the most peaceful time in all of human history, what happens when society goes away? We will revert to our previous ways for a time, maybe a long time. If you want to hear a good talk that will put things in perspective and applies very well to DayZ: http://www.ted.com/t...f_violence.html DayZ simulates morality in a post apocalyptic scenario almost perfectly by not enforcing any artificial punishments through silly game mechanics. This is what people would do to each other if there where no penalties for doing so since that is what the game does and people are doing it. The game is is own proof for how people would act in the situation.

I have fired dual 9mm barettas, it was extremely fun, and I missed the target entirely. You cannot hit anything with a pistol unless you look down the sight, dual wielding prevents this, unless you alternate the pistols and resight, which wastes time. Dual pistols would never be used in a survival situation. -
Have you been running? Takes a while to stop breathing hard messing up aim.

Only if they are looking right at you, you can crouch run behind them all day. They hear much worse now and see much better thats basically the bottom line. I crouch run right up behind them within 10m and shoot them without them reacting, used to never do this unless walking because of the sound.

I was able to play on US133 with 94945 while all other server where "Wait for host", just as FYI.

Try to downgrade now ARMA crashes when trying to connect with the following error: Faulting application name: arma2oa.exe, version: 1.61.94.876, time stamp: 0x4ffef77f Faulting module name: BEClient.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5002b255 Exception code: 0xc0000005 I downgraded battleye by uninstalling the reinstalling from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\BEsetup but looks like Batteleye is still causing the crash. I recommend everyone stay away from 94945 it is pretty messed up and downgrading is problematic.

I can't seem to connect to any servers after upgrading to 94945. Just says "Wait for host". Found this thread and thought Battle-eye was the problem, followed the instructions but, same problem persists. might have to downgrade, not many servers running 94945 yet anyway.

Camo deleted my backpack in 1.7.2.3, so there are still some nasty bugs, really sucks losing a 24 slot Coyote. -

I put on camo right after 1.7.2.3 came out to see if it worked and everything was ok, then logged out. Just logged in and my camo is gone AND MY FULL Coyote Backpack, sorry not a happy camper right now. -
Supervision as in 10x worse than your vision in the game? I can see a person standing still in a street from half a km away up on a hill outside town. Obviously the infection messed up their vision if they can only see you two blocks away. So far I'm ok with the new AI, they see you easier, but now I can crouch run around behind them since they don't hear as well. Main thing that needs to be tweaked is their spawn rate. Hard is good so long as you can clear them out of an area for a while, right now they clown car you to death.

Look down the barrel of your gun while looking directly at one of the post, usually the lower half of the post. I've removed tons a barbed wire, not hard once you get the hang of where to look on the posts.

v1.7.2 Aggros zombies much more then usual?

Compared to normal human vision, it's logic. Even with the new "hawkeye" vision they are now just legally blind instead of just full blind. You can see them at 500m they now can see you at 50-75m. I think the new Zed's actually feel better, they see you more easily but they don't hear you as well. You can crouch run around them now so long as you don't pass in front of them. If you watch your vision number you will realize there is not a big a difference between run/walk anymore. The main problem I see right now with Zed's is their spawn rate. I like them being harder, but you cannot clear an area of them for any period of time, they literally keep pouring out of the same building like a clown car. This breaks immersion, prevents any kind of feeling of accomplishment, is not fun, and makes the new harder Zed's really, really hard. If it wasn't for the unlimited ammo bugs, I would be all out now from how many I need to take out now just to get in somewhere because of the crazy spawn rate.
