I thought this was the part of the forum where non-bandit types went looking for "adult" activites? -

Seems that we turn into the things we set out to destroy.

I've done the exact opposite. I started out shooting whoever I saw and got bored with it. Now the greatest challenge is engineering ways to help people without getting killed by them seconds later. -
Wasn't dayz supposed to get updated yesterday?

I don't know how feasible this is, but it would be neat if you could to a monthly sub fee and create a mega server. Something like the east coast of the United States, from Boston to DC, and keep tweaking the content. So, I would like: Monthly Sub Developed by whoever isn't gonna screw it up Servers privately controlled (possible only 1 or 2) Kickstarter it for sure edit: This guy beat me to it ;)

Do you ever feel like getting awesome guns is a waste?
Thestarling replied to Shard (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I agree that I never feel like I'm enjoying the game when I manage to get a DMR or something else fancy. Instead I creep around like a paranoid twit and run away from the slightest noise. Eventually I get disgusted with myself and rush to my death at the airfield. Slap an AK in my hands though, and I'm ready to rumble. -
I see wut u did ther SECRET WRITINGSSSS!!!

Bugs deadlier then players/zombies

I had the audacity to run next to a log once. It broke my legs. I cried. -
This sums up the argument for limiting military grade weapons nicely. The time of wonder and mystery is the most exciting time in games like DayZ. When you take out the uncertainty, you lose a lot of the appeal. A man with a CZ550 acting as overwatch makes for a much more intense and interesting experience than having a guy with a thermal scope/NVG, semi-auto sniper, and ghillie suit at your back. It makes sense to have sniper rifles, it makes sense to have basic military weapons. All this spec-ops crap everywhere....really? US and Russian armies threw the best of the best at zombies in a back water? Seems like a job for the infantry IMO...

We need generators to charge batteries on the battery dependent devices that are currently in game. GPS NVG Fancy rifle scopes Cloaking Devices Lazor Pistols

Do we have any advantage over the infected?
Thestarling replied to cowdung's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Since the new patch, it seems like it's easier to lose zombies. Sure, they can see you from a mile away now (literally), but whenever I have been able to break LOS of sight, even for a second, they lose interest and I can just walk away. I hear a lot of people complaining that the Z's are broken, but I like the changes so far.
