Well thats part of the game, i don't see it as a problem, you can always search for them and steal it. And thanks to the player that hide it you don't have to fix it :P

You need a tent or vehicle to store stuff, I think a tent can hold more than 50 items, not sure about vehicles. Also there are different backpacks, I think the biggest one is the Coyote Backpack, I coulnd't find any yet, but i did found a lot of Alice Pack which after Coyote Backpack I think it's the biggest one. i don't agree with the "safe zone", that would be a totally different game. -
I think they catch on fire if you haven't fixed them completely, you see the "status" of each part on the top left i believe when you get in a vehicle. In my opinion vehicles in the game are perfect the way they are. Also, one time I found a bus that didn't need repair, i thought someone had repaired it but on the chat people told me sometimes the vehicles spawn already fixed, not sure about this.

I think you will be safer trying to spot a down heli if you want the rare weapons, I got a L85A2 SUSAT from a chopper one of the first time I played. I never went into the airfield yet, but got killed even inside a barn with a hatchet lol so i can image the airfield could be a dangerous place to be. -
im running it on my second PC with a 8600gt, 3gb ram and a dualcore cpu, the game runs very well even with high video settings. I think with low/medium settings you should be able to play with your setup, but probably not in high.

Zeds seems pretty easy to avoid on this release, I haven't played a lot on older versions anyway but I do find it easier than in the older versions I've played. I got some weird inventory glitches also that never happened before, for example when trying to pick up a tent, I had no space on my inventory and I saw a message on screen saying that, so I dropped a few stuff but the msg still continue, then i dropped EVERYTHING, including backpack, and then I was able to pick it up, and while picking up my other stuff, like 8 other tents spawned around me, and 3 more a few meters from me. Also when trying "right click > action" like for drinking, eating or setting up a wire fence, nothing happened, so i clicked the text with green background tons of times, until I got bored and continue, then after like 5 minutes I would randomly see my character doing the animation of the action I wanted, and not only once, every few seconds or a minute it would do it again. but the action effect never appeared (drink & food meters going up or a wire fence placed), even when the message saying "you consumed blablabla" appeared. Then after 5 more minutes my drink and food meters did go up, but the fence never appeared or maybe it did later on some of the multiple places my char did the animation. And I wasn't able to take my hatchet out my toolbelt even when i had no primary weapon, so I dropped it on the floor to pick it up again but it disappeared, I was dropping tons of stuff on the same place but only the hatchet disappeared.

I thought i was playing better :( lol, now you mention this i think it may be broken, I didn't got notice by any today and I did come close to a lot, even fired a shot inside a building when there was zeds around outside. But I also did see another player running with zombies behind, so not sure whats going on with zombies "senses".

I had a totally different experience with 1.7.2.3 (version where they say detection was reduced by 20%), I got REALLY close to the zeds without them even notice me, near cherno i dropped on the floor to crawl below those broken walls, and when i had half body into the other side i turn and see a zombie there 2 mts from me, he was there standing and making weird noises looking kinda at my direction, i crawled back from where i came from and he didn't even followed me. I did saw some weird glitches on the inventory, when trying to right click > action on an item it wouldnt work and then after minutes it would do the animation but not the "effect" of the action which came much later, also trying to pick up a tent, i couldn't because it said my inventory had no room, so I dropped everything and tried again, still same error. Tried lot of times quickly, and suddenly 8 other tents spawned lol. Also I couldn't get the hatchet out of my toolbelt even when my primary weapon slot was empty, then i dropped it and it disappeared, i saw plenty of weird bugs like that with the inventory today, never happened to me before. -

That happened to me too, the setting got changed from very high to medium, i thought it was because i sometimes play with a 1440x900 and sometimes with a 1920x1080 monitor, but not sure why it happens. -

Sixupdater just updated my DayZ to 1.7.2.3, and lot of servers seems to have done the same, i was checking the changelog and it says the zed's player detection was reduced by 20%.

i don't have any brightness problems, I have the normal video settings at very high, but i think I have post processing effects turned off, try changing the advanced video options. -
i don't know but Day Zero sounds better for me since day 0 is the day you start on the infected chernarus. But Day Zombie sounds kinda weird, shouldn't it be Zombie's Day?, I don't know, english is not my main language, im just saying.

But smoke granades are not as easy to find as empty cans and bottles, I think zeds should pay a little more attention when you throw an empty can. I throw one right behind a zombie and he just kept walking like nothing. -
I thought the it was DayZero, no DayZombie. DayZombie doesn't make sense, but DayZero kinda does.

Not sure about that, maybe someone with more experience can help us figure it out. But I found some info on this post http://dayzmod.com/f...er/#entry298240 (You may want to follow the thread, someone asked the same question) It seems that char persistence works on all the servers connected to "hive", now we need to find if there's a way to filter those servers, I hope someone can help.

I haven't played much on older versions, only a few hours on 1.7.1.5, but in 1.7.2 I don't feel the zombies changed much or are harder to avoid, if you have a hatchet and buildings near is easy to kill any amount of zombies, if you dont want to kill them sneaking up is very possible and not really hard. You just need to plan your moves and move from cover to cover as quiet as possible. -
That never happened to me, and neither to some people I played with. I usually crawl like 10 meters close to a zombie and they never see me, try to sneak up from behind them not in front. But still I crawled a lot of times right in front of them and they don't do anything. If you are in a city like elektro with a hatchet is really easy to kill a horde of zombies, just get into a building and wait for them near the door, they still can't run inside buildings.

I mostly use 3rd person right now in cities so I can spot zombies, players and stuff to loot easier. I aim with the cicle sight that you see when you have the hatchet as a weapon and you are not sprinting (like you see this guy has in ), some servers may not have it, I believe it depend on how the admin configured it.I don't aim for the head, I aim anywhere but got plenty of "headshots" on the debug monitor that way, I just make sure I am close enough to the zed, almost touching him, most of the time the first hit kill him. -

I don't know about the firecracker thing, it's a little weird, maybe they could make the empty bottles and cans take a little more of the zombies attention. But regarding sneaking behind them with the hatchet, i find it really easy and you kill them with one hit I don't think that should be changed, I only started doing it yesterday and I looted all around electro killing like 30 zombies and not one of them saw me coming. I think the key is to be quiet, zombies can't see shit and if you are behind them you can crouch walk until you are right behind them without them even notice you. -

You should spawn on the same location you were when you left. but remember this is still in alpha, weird things may happen. Also there are servers that i believe do not share the same character persistence than the "official" servers, so it will also depends on the server you connect to and to which network is that server connected. So you can end up having multiple characters depending on which servers you connect to.

Losing zeds aggro may not seem easy or even possible at the beggining, but there are several ways to do it. I think people forget this project is still in Alpha, there will be probably tons of stuff that will be changed/added/removed on the prod version, so submit your suggestions to the developers.

We have been told by the creator that they working on team features, so there may be more advantages in teaming up in the future. I think a lot of player don't really understand what Alpha means in software development, I don't blame them they don't have to. Software in alpha state don't ussually gets 100k daily users also, I think we just have to keep giving the developers suggestions, and wait for a final distribution release, things can change a lot until then.

We could use tazers or other weapons like a dart gun or a blowgun lol to immobilize another player for some time, that may stop the pvp paranoid killing.
