Whatever name you call them, they are fucking up the game. And lot of those "script kiddies" started cheating the game just because they are tired of others fucking up their game. -

In my experience, never saw a hacker when i played at random servers, once I started playing with friends on the same servers, see them multiple times everyday. The admins are aware and ban people daily, but they are still coming. -

No thank you, I had three and drank them while a hacker was killing us all in the server.

Just encountered the same problem, on TS I could hear really loud but in-game even when standing next to each other i could barely hear what the other guy was saying. Tried adjusting everything on the audio options but didn't work.

Just got into a random server, before I could even see the game (still black screen), saw "MyPlayerName was killed", and once into the game i was on wilderness, looked to my left and there was a player with zombie face looking me all creepy lol, this is getting ridiculous, most of the people I know that play the game can't do it for more than 30 minutes without something weird like this happening. -

I luckily haven't seen any hackers when I play, but on the same server there was a HUGE problem with a group of hackers ruining everyones game a few days ago. And watching a twitch stream today I saw at least 4 hackers doing crazy stuff on different servers. Even when this didn't affect me directly yet, I know people that has stopped playing because of hackers, and others still wants to play but can't do it for very long until some hacker appears and kill everyone on the server or something like that. -

Not always, sometimes is hard to get pass a door with just a makarov if you are crouch walking.

True, I've been in situation when I am crouch walking or crawling right in front of a zed without him even noticing it, and another comes running from 300mts (i measured it with the middle mouse hand stuff), or they run even from behind buildings.

Another reason for server hopping is finding a daylight server (I think it's a valid reason), some admins don't put the timezone on the name, and even if they do you have to calculate GMT or UTC + / -, most of the time I just connect randomnly until I find one.

Sometimes I too have to connect to a lot of servers before i can actually get into the game, and sometimes a server gets stuck even after "setup complete... blabla" and i can even see my blood, food, thirst, etc status but cant play. Also, both the game and my pc crashed a few times while playing. I hope the new system can notice the difference.

I've seen plenty, some are assholes that ruin everybody's game, but some are really cool and take you for a ride on their heli and give you supplies lol. -

Just tested "Showcase 1: US Army", and worked fine. But when launching it with the beta patch shortcut (the one i use for DayZ) it doesn't work and does the same as you said, only atv and motorcycle are there. The shortcut that works for me launches the file "C:/Program Files/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA 2/arma2OA.exe". Search for that file on your pc and launch it directly without shortcut (the beta patch shortcut contains extra commands like -beta=.... and -mod=@dayz -

Yes, everything that wasn't working for me seems to work when launching the normal shortcut instead of the beta patch shortcut. If you want to tell me exactly what mission and what part of it doesn't work for you I can check it on mine and let you know. -

Just got mine working. How are you guys launching the game when trying to play single player? I was launching it with the beta patch shortcut, this time i did it with the shortcut created when i installed Arma 2 instead, and it worked. -

I have the no steam version, and I can still play arma 2 and OA online (also on W7), but some things seems to be really broken since the last beta patches sixupdater installed. For example the boot camp, the missions just wont work, there's just a camera showing the field from above and the mission never start, on others like the driving mission there's no vehicle, etc. I get no error message. Kinda sucks since i really like Arma 2, more than DayZ. Just tested the scenarios and campaigns, none work neither. -
Yes a hacker does that to other people, it's pretty funny.

First, talking about the "reality" of a defibrillator and such doesn't make much sense, I mean we are playing a game, where there are zombies, food magically appears on the floor over and over again and taking morphine fix broken bones. Second, we already have Epi-Pen for waking up unconscious players, if you are dead you are dead nothing will wake you up, is not like you die from a hearth attack for being scared of zombies.

I accidentally shot the Enfield RIGHT behind a zed, like less than 5mts, he didn't even noticed it lol. And then you have the other zombie, that you are crawling and he starts running towards you from miles away. I don't know if empty cans and bottles worked on older versions, but now they seem to have no effect, throwing empty bottles next to a zombie doesn't do anything, with the only thing I can get their attention is with smoke granades, frags don't do anything either. -
Oh so I now have the clothes of another player lol, because my shirt wasn't black :P
