    I am not trying to disrespect you but, I think your "friend" doesn't exist and it was you who got banned :P Probably others believe the same and you can't blame us, cheaters come here all the time with the same history. Those who got recently banned by mistake were unbanned already, and I haven't seen any new threads regarding non-cheaters that wasn't yet unbanned. Now the only option you (or your "friend") have now is contacting Battleye, DayZ doesn't (and can't) deal with or remove global bans. Make sure you follow the instructions on http://battleye.com/support.html when contacting them.

    haha the asian medic was funny, cool vid. And I think reporting cheaters doesn't accomplish much right now, i just see them as part of the game, and the reason why i stopped playing. I'm waiting for the standalone hoping for the best.

    #b172 is an UNIQUE id that battleye uses to log each global ban, tell your "friend" to contact battleye: http://battleye.com/support.html But if your "friend" was cheating, they wont even reply.

    I'd like to see this too, it would be cool to kill all the zombies on an area and have some time to run around "safely".

    BI or DayZ can't do much on the current cheat prevention system, they just implemented Battleye which is an external program they don't manage (like punkbuster, etc). So they should either create their own system or find a better one.

    The problem with zombies taking a few seconds to fall after you kill them is not a dayz problem, I've seen it happening playing Arma without mods. I hope they "fix" it on the standalone since I always waste ammo because of it lol, and now with the ammo refill after logout/login fix, ammo is much more valuable. Zombies opening doors are ok, but it would be awesome to have some item to block doors so you can barricade yourself inside a building and wait for help when you don't have ammo or need blood.

    I am not sure, but I think if you reinstall your player ID changes (I had problems with an hdd so I had to reinstall everything and i think my player id changed). If you want to reset it to get you unbanned from battleye, that wont work, they ban cd keys, not player ids.

    I think in dayz, servers makes some of the "calculations" needed to run the game instead of your CPU doing them, so if the server's CPU sucks or it's having problems you get bad fps.

    I use trees a lot, just run like crazy, find bushes, trees with big trunks or pines, and zig zag, when you think zombies can't see you anymore turn around to make sure, and if you don't see any zed then go prone (or crouch depending of the situation), and keep moving away, if you don't you get aggro again.

    Six Launcher should do everything when you try to join a server, at least that's what I use and never had problems. And when I want to force an update that six updater is not doing, I use DayZCommander.

    Mmmm, maybe my english is not good (sorry i speak spanish). But that's exactly what i meant. If you drink but don't eat you can live longer than if you eat but don't drink.

    I believe starvation happens much faster than dehydration, not sure about the timeframes but it's kinda common knowledge that you can live a lot of days without eating anything, but only a few without drinking.

    If you got banned for no reason you can always appeal sending an email to support[at]battleye.com But if you got banned for "no reason" forget it, you need a new key, battleye know you cheated and don't care about anything you have to say to them, they will keep you banned.

    No don't worry, as long as you don't change your cd key your character will be the same. The character data is not stored in the client (your computer), the servers you connect to, are at the same time connected to a main server, that's where the char data is stored. Just download and install Six Updater from http://www.six-updater.net/p/download.html That will install both Six Launcher and Six Updater. Then run Six Launcher, try joining a server, and if the dayz mod or beta patch needs to be updated the software will do it for you and then join the server.

    Yes, I believe having too many dead bodies on the server caused lag. Since they removed the respawn button I haven't seen that problem.

    Are you running STEAM as administrator? Most of the problem with the Arma STEAM version I read are solved with running it as admin.
