Hiring a boat captain to take them to the shoreline, they began their journey. Mere hours into their mission, they hit their first obstacle, a freak ocean storm! Their captain valiantly struggles against the gargantuan maelstrom but to no avail, their small boat eventually is torn apart by the raging seas. Survivors grab onto whatever floating debris they can find, and hope for the storm to calm. After many more long, terrible hours the storm breaks and the men can see their destination in a bank of fog, Chernarus. They slowly make the grueling swim to land, and begin checking their losses. All of their weapons of war are gone, no way to defend themselves. No food or water survived the journey, and they are all hopelessly scattered along the island's coastline. Thousands of zombies and hundreds of fellow survivors stand in these gallant warriors' way, there is no turning back now! I can see why people would like to stay in the mod for the custom maps. But Rocket would be an incredible fool not to allow custom maps and other stuff (probably not in the alpha/beta stages, but full release) on the SA. I, for one, will likely go to the SA and never look back, unless the hacking is somehow worse than in the mod, which would be terrible.

Nah, I feel natural adrenaline and not f*cking up your body for later life to be a much better game experience. HOWEVER, did play this game after getting my wisdom teeth pulled while still doped up, was crazy :o

Perhaps, when new players stop coming in so rapidly, the hackers will gradually go away as well? One can only hope...

Oh, this thread again, please make the effort to dig a little before posting. This has been the main problem in DayZ for several months, and there is no solution, except for just putting the game down and waiting for the stand-alone.

I don't mean the amount of people who post here or look at stuff. I mean the load times for this forum have increased for me steadily for about a month now, I remember when it was lightning fast! Anyone else? (And yes I have removed cookies and deleted browser history, I do it regularly)

Hi! We've got around 30 active members who pretty much play DayZ from the time they get home to the time they go to bed! We're primarily NA but we have several EU and AUS players. Forum Post Here Website Here Hop onto our TS sometime so we can get to know you! :)

I have nothing against 15-year-olds, it's just that, in a clan that's primarily between the ages of 18-25, most of the members will find you annoying and difficult to deal with. Your sense of humor isn't the same, so something funny to you is mind-numbingly annoying to them. Also your age group is pegged as the most likely to cheat/hack/play unfairly, because its true. I had the same issues when I was 15, if you don't want to screw things up with a clan due to your age being an issue, go into whatever voice program they use and say you don't have a mic, even if you do, let them get used to you in there and typing stuff, and once you feel you've made the most positive impression possible turn on your mic. Worked for me, and is the most sure-fire way to let people get to know you before stereotypes get in the way of having fun. Or you could just wait until you're 18 and come play :P .

Looks a helluva lot more valid and real than WarZ does currently. Plus, I'll put a bit more faith in Microsoft Studios than the no names doing WarZ. One to keep an eye on.
