    I also found this out the hard way... put a newly repaired helicopter on one and logged out for a few hours to later find that it was blown up...

    That is true but DayZ has been out much longer and has shown progression in the mod, I mean look at the front page... 1.4 million players for a mod... it would be incredibly foolish if they thought there would not be even more progression on the actual stand alone game.

    It's not like there is a camp in the same spot on every server, just look in an area that you would put a camp and most likely someone else has thought and put their camp there as well.

    Does anyone know under what circumstances one becomes a bandit? I have heard 5 murders but I believe that is incorrect since I have had friends who have only killed one person and received the heart beat which from what I understand signifies a bandit. I am very curious how one becomes a bandit, is it a ratio between zombie kills and murders? All thoughts on this are welcome.

    Since someone has good gear doesn't mean they are a hacker, possibly an exploiter duping the items or maybe just some guy who was in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

    Not exactly sure what you mean by "full items" do you mean basic equipment? Camo and Ghillie suits are in the game so no I think you just logged in on a guy and killed him.

    I have never seen a boat spawn there so it may have been stashed there since you cant really hide a boat well.

    I feel your frustration, my server restarted as I was flying my helicopter but thankfully it was back at my camp at the location I saved it last.
