You haven't ran the game in "Combined operations", which requires arma 2 (arma2 free works) and operation arrowhead. You are then given ( in steam ) the option to run it in combined operations. if not, you need to download this launcher. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241

you didnt need to post a forum thread on it mate.. if you really feel the need to get rid of it, just drop it somewhere no-one will find it. :) -
http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241 may all of your problems dissapear. :) make sure that you drag and drop all the @dayz into "group 1", and make sure all 3 boxes (dayz, gruop 1, and addons) are ticked.
